8 tackles last night, couple of contested marks. So he is doing some right things, but like others have said, probably at the wrong end of the ground when you look at 6.15 for the season.
-
Rivers and Windsor the two highlights for me. Other highlights McVee & Turner continuing to come along nicely. Kozzie has now kicked 159 goals in 104 games and should end up another season close to the 40 goal mark (Last 4 seasons 40, 41, 37, 34*) Ed Langdon returning to some form. Relentlessness of ANB, Viney, Chin

Lose to GC and beat Collingwood and you've got a deal.

I told my friends there were more people there than the Port Game! At least I wasn't incorrect. Never seen the Frank Grey Smith Bar with so much space, usually you need to be as nimble as Kozzie to get through it without bumping into people. I know the season is a bit poor but would have liked to at least his the 20,000 mark but understand some people are disenfranchised, some are time poor, illheath, have kids, cost of living etc. Understand some people pick and chose games based on chances of winning, we're all at different stages of our lives.

As posted in his injury thread apparently he can't get his heart rate above 110 so still some way to go before some moderate exercise but fantastic he's with the boys.
-
Big LK was a speculative addition, if it pays off great but should get extra to see how he's tracking after an AFL pre-season. People are saying Clarry is down because he didn't have one, this fella has never had one. We've got some talls hopefully coming with NGA/FS in 2025 draft so can roll the dice on him against next year. Especially as several key position players may not be there next year (BBB/JS/Schache/TMac?)
-
I've been fiddling with the Ladder predictor all morning and it doesn't look good. Imagine we won't get much tinkering until perhaps the final game. Either way i'll be there cheering on the lads
-
Guess he wants to shore up the backline with mature bodies. Slugfest?
-
He's actively trying to get people to join Adelaide, doesn't sound like a fella who wants to come back to Victoria. There's another screenshot on twitter of a post from DB's linkedin where he's pushing the role as well

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
roy11 replied to pitmaster's topic in Melbourne Demons
DEES STAR REVEALS INJURY LATEST (https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/great-mates-bold-dusty-call-dees-star-reveals-silver-lining-to-horror-injury-360-talking-points/news-story/482d1eb163823db57400a817a8fe7a7c?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR1sgMhq56mDiD0qf7dAj67IDMYAHm1Qj-2Jv1cUKVTojUmzxpVoD_tEb-o_aem_EqbA_njFY65zkMPmnrk-kQ) Christian Petracca hasn’t been seen since the King’s Birthday Clash against Collingwood back in June but has provided an update on his condition after suffering a vast array of internal injuries in that clash. “It’s been quite tough… it’s been pretty difficult both mentally and physically,” Petracca told AFL360. The Demons superstar went for his first run last week in what he described as a positive, “little milestone”. His training has changed drastically however, revealing he is not allowed to train with a heart rate over 110bpm. “I just have to trust it… I can’t get my heart rate about 110 because of my spleen,” he said. “My running is very, very slow, I might have to come and run with you Robbo at Warrandyte River!” he joked. Petracca said the time on the sidelines has allowed him to invest more time and energy to his social media and cooking. “It’s been really tough but the thing that’s giving me the most joy at the moment is the stuff away from the game – my social media and my cooking. It’s given me a great sense of purpose and I’m really grateful that I have something away from the game that’s given me a lot of perspective and routine. “When footy is taken away from you… to have something away from the game is really enjoyable.” He said dealing with this injury setback was more difficult than his ACL injury during his first year in the League. “There’s been a range of emotions, sitting in this uncomfortablility of not being able to play. I’ve had a long-term injury before in my first year with an ACL, but this is a totally different ball game,” he said. “With an ACL you can physically see the progression and improvements but with internal organs you just don’t know what’s going on and you have to trust what the people around you are telling you.” Petracca’s absence has left a gaping hole in Melbourne’s midfield and it’s now unlikely that they’ll secure a finals berth in 2024. -
As i was typing my post I had a feeling you would reply aha. You need to add Jeffo to your Favourite Players list on your profile.

Will we see BBB in on of our last 2 home games? I know it's not exactly a an eye on the future type selection but would be nice to get him a goodbye game.
-
Can understand the rationale of a super Sunday, but still odd we get Friday
-
I wouldn't be against Peter Wright next season - would offer more than Schache and we're going to be down BBB and JS29 as well you'd assume. Tom Hawkins retiring end of season, so assume the cats will swoop on Waterman

The Melbourne Digital Membership at $250 per year is still good value for 365 days if you're a fan of F1 and other sports but I'm sure the price of that will go up next year! Cozzie (cost of living) bad Kozzie (Pickett) good. -
the window isnt closed but the pack has caught up. 2022-2023 was there for the taking 2024 is a free for all - expecting 2025 to be similar, so a few tweaks and no reason why we can't be there. Especially as we've lost a few close ones this year.

Part 10: Jason Taylor - Visionary or Over-rated - 2022

For an immediate impact rating Jeffo/Adams would be low but they may turn out to be important players down the line so its a difficult one to judge properly. So think you should definitely chuck an asterisk next to the number! -
I have a good mate who is a Swans fan and he was pumping up JJ's tyres early in the season too much. I tried to cool his jets a bit by saying he's a reliable solid player who can play a role but not too damaging, think he's slowly agreeing with me.

I posted in the merchandise thread after the cats dropped their annual kit. Would love us to take part in the nostalgia

The first 4 had the most disposals. Toby had 3 goals 9 score involvements, Brent had 2 goals and 8 tackles, 8 score involvements etc. Rivers and ANB had good games, but below the ones listed above

Keep doing the Autoladder tipping on the Squiggle website and then getting angry at the machine.

Just delaying some work on this fine Monday and thought i'd look at some historical figures for home games vs GWS 2024 - Round 21- 16,246 2022 - Round 5 - 20,791 (long weekend) 2021 - Round 16 - 16,963 2019 - Round 10 - 20,023 2018 - Round 23 - 37,285 2016 - Round 1 - 28,505 2014 - Round 21 - 17,227 2013 - Round 4 - 20,018 2012 - Round 13 - 20,070 So Round 1 of 2016 (optimism) and Round 23 of 2018 (oh - are we finally good?) definitely boost the average. Also for reference @ Marvel/Etihad 2015 - Round 23 - 8,974

Was there by myself in the MCC, if anyone ever wants to tag and along and buy me some drinks I won't complain.
