PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
It’s a little hard to judge Spargo after one quarter, he didn’t really do anything, but then most of the team ghosted that 4th quarter

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Not sure we'll see too much of him when McVee/Kolt/X back. He's been serviceable but was a ghost last night

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Given they have 2 F/S picks and a NGA in the next draft, will curious to see how they approach their list/additions/departures this year.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
I know Stats don't tell the entire picture but his kicking efficiency so far this season is 59%, his career average is 56.2%. Will watch him with particular focus tonight.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Clarry an interesting one, racked up 30+ disposals in the last 2 games without really imposing himself on the game. Hoping they both have blinders tonight

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Trac started brightly with 6 coaches votes in Round 1 but he is down on some career averages. I dont think Clarry has been that bad, collectively our midfield/gameplan struggles has made them look worse individually.

NON-MFC: Round 04

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Tipping related - on the AFL website 2% of people have tipped Melbourne, assume all 2% are Melbourne supporters (myself included) Deelusional?

TRAINING: Wednesday 2nd April 2025
Arsenal also have too many defensive midfielders and can struggle to create at times if their sole creative midfielder is having an off day. They also don't have a prolific Centre-Forward. Familiar scenes

The Oscar Allan Thread
Still curious if theyd consider M.Reid and a nice Pick for Kozzie.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
McVee a big out for this reason, hopefully Miers/Stengle dont have a field day.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Agreed his form hasn't been ideal, but even last week he could have kicked a couple of goals, still had a decent amount of score involvements etc. Not sure a spell in the 2s will get him to drastically change the way he plays the game, as frustrating as that may be for some. He'd go down to Casey kick a bag and then come back the same player.

Trade Targets
The article does say that a lot of hawks are over performing their contract value.

Harvey Langford Rising Star nomination Rd 3
On the flip side, he kept getting the ball to be tackled. Not sure if it is a communication issue or him not being up to the speed/intensity of the adult game, this will improve. Would like to see him get a few tackles as well. He may not be the quickest, just need to compliment him with players with different skill sets.

Trade Targets
Re Butters: Multiple club sources have confirmed Hawthorn, Richmond, Essendon and Collingwood are all preparing to make serious plays for the 24-year-old, who grew up in Bacchus Marsh and played under-18 football for the Western Jets. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/this-port-star-is-contracted-until-the-end-of-2026-but-victorian-clubs-are-already-circling-20250331-p5lnz8.html Doesn't look great for us then.
