Ignoring trade capital for a bit, As soon as a $ is floated, they can go to other clubs and say Melbourne are offering $X, what about you? no issue with a ballpark being given for now. Player agents would be able to give a relatively accurate guestimate to the players as well.

Always find these statements/interviews interesting. Are the responses just aimed to media/fans more so than a bargaining tool. Clearly each respective clubs knows where things stand from the discussions they have with each other. Don't get the public chess game sometimes.

playing alongside the younger forwards will take pressure off them and as said before they might learn a thing or 2. We have a decent amount of young fellas (JvR, Jeffo, Kentfield) - will they all make it? TBC But this might help them, so a stop-gap option. Also having a good fwd will assist the mids find their groove.

Whether it works or not, re-signing NAS and Windhager... adding TDK, Silvani, Aleer....going for Ryan etc On the face of it they definitely 'seem' more ambitious than a club who seemingly want to take a step backwards to move forward.
