Farewell Christian Petracca
Out of curiosity, for the draft enthusiasts amongst us, for comparative purposes, are there any other "weak" drafts from the past you recommend we check out?

Then we'll be up in arms about the draft, then the fixture, then pre-season supplementary drafts, then best 23s etc

Last post came out a bit meaner than intended, will try redeem it with the next few onya Spargs.- Bailey Humphrey
Agreed, that's why i said ignoring trade capital. Definitely have an ace up our sleeve there.- Farewell Charlie Spargo
More like Spargone. Pick in the early 40s not bad considering output last few years. wonder if they'll use it or try bundle up to move up- Bailey Humphrey
Ignoring trade capital for a bit, As soon as a $ is floated, they can go to other clubs and say Melbourne are offering $X, what about you? no issue with a ballpark being given for now. Player agents would be able to give a relatively accurate guestimate to the players as well.- The List Manager Tim Lamb
Always find these statements/interviews interesting. Are the responses just aimed to media/fans more so than a bargaining tool. Clearly each respective clubs knows where things stand from the discussions they have with each other. Don't get the public chess game sometimes.- Farewell Christian Petracca
Interesting focus on " the role our high-performance team played" -- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Oliver doing the "dirty work" for Daicos and Co makes some sense for them though. But hardly replacing the steady heads of Pendles/Sidebottom long-term- Farewell Clayton Oliver
yeh but the crux of if is you're suggesting he forgoes ~$3,500,000 to stay in Melbourne.- The List Manager Tim Lamb
Only good thing about Butters maybe being available as a "Pre-agent" it might distract some people away from B Humphrey- Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
Probably the wrong thread for it, but with the extra spot on the bench, wonder how many coaches will have an big fella there- Sam Grlj
If we sign this lad, cant write to post about him on the Dmnlnd.cm/frm- Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
playing alongside the younger forwards will take pressure off them and as said before they might learn a thing or 2. We have a decent amount of young fellas (JvR, Jeffo, Kentfield) - will they all make it? TBC But this might help them, so a stop-gap option. Also having a good fwd will assist the mids find their groove.- Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Him and Melky can help teach the younger brigade on the field. Petty can go back. Low risk move- Sam Flanders
Whether it works or not, re-signing NAS and Windhager... adding TDK, Silvani, Aleer....going for Ryan etc On the face of it they definitely 'seem' more ambitious than a club who seemingly want to take a step backwards to move forward. I think its ultimately wont achieve much but at least theyre trying something.- Sam Flanders
Welcome that pick to Melbourne then?- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Sad how its worked out, but much better seeing him in a GWS top than Geelong.- Farewell Christian Petracca
At least the Oliver thread can get back on Trac- Bailey Humphrey
Carlton also just got Pick 19 compo for SOS and assume they get Pick 9 Compo for TDK and if they do cash in on Curnow - Will have the ammo- Bailey Humphrey
Petracca aside, not sure any of them really stood up last year to have us really concerned about their absence- Bailey Humphrey
The 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period will start on Monday, October 6 and run until Deadline Day on Wednesday, October 15. Plenty of time to smash F5 - Farewell Charlie Spargo
