  1. Not that we need him, but every time we play Port I get real annoyed that Sam Powell-Pepper always plays a good game and is physical as well. I would prefer he did not do this against the Demons, so if this stops it so be it aha
  2. Yes exactly, it is pleasing to see the gap closing between the US and other countries. Think it was shambolic that it took Manchester United until 2018 to establish a Women's team. Back to the USA, they hosted in 1999 (and won) and 2003 and I think this had a huge impact on the 'golden generation' which won 2015 and 2019. Not sure how much further the Matildas will go in this tournament but i think its legacy here will be that the tournament inspired many young girls to play the game and hopefully push the sport further here. Keen for the Matildas/Demons bonanza!
  3. Curious to see what his movement is like post surgery in case that was hindering him.
  4. What do you reckon the plan is with Tmac? Given Petty out for the season, How many weeks in the 2s? Or does it depends how a possible Grundy re-integration goes
  5. Last game at AAMI Park/Melbourne Rectangular Stadium was last night and Storm are playing there this Sunday. Imagine no team would base themselves here for training given no more games in Melb, should be right to use Gosch's Paddock and any internal facilities.
  6. Meeting a mate at a pub before the footy, hoping the tillies can wrap it up in 90' otherwise. Won't be heading to the G until that game is over Imagine at least some of the TVs in the bars in the MCC will be showing the game if its on. Although Dees fans might be hoping to catch Adelaide pull one over Brisbane.
  7. Hopefully Judd can act as an inspiration for some other young players in the squad. Get the form in and have a good off-season and pre-season and anything can happen. I mean Maxy was calling Judd for Rising star in March before the season started . That being said don't see them rushing Jeffo in, but clearly see things they like in him
  8. Last WWC game in Melbourne was last night so we should be back to 2 venues now at least.
  9. Definitely opened up a bit with the eliminations of Germany, USA, Brasil. Japan/Spain have impressed me the most this tournament. predicting a Spain vs England final. But knockout football, anything can happen.
  10. its a small ground so imagine most seats would be more than adequate. I'm about to book tickets myself, excited onya Dees!
  11. At least with Sestan they said he'll be back for end of season conditioning. Not that many games left for Casey this season so it does look a bit sinister. I know they wont do it, but wish clubs would stop Click Baiting Injury News as well.
  12. Re: Alirr not doing a test, I'm a bit ignorant here towards the testing process, but you'd assume clubs would be adequately staffed to handle simultaneous concussion testing?
  13. Think he's been involved in promising moments since his return but any forward not troubling the scoreboard will have an issue keeping their spot. Do love BBB but stylistically he doesn't always gel with the team.
  14. At first I thought Melksham was a good Sub, but Smith has versatility at both ends and some leg speed. Will be curious to see what the 22 (23) looks like when Fristch is back
  15. I've been flip flopping on whether it is worth trading picks up for Reid. But if North do get the double gift, leaning more in favour of doing it.
  16. https://www.wheeloratings.com/afl_stats.html good for looking at coaches vote and filtering by club/position/age/whatever We've got 3 mids in the top 25 for "Midfield" category. Good to see.
  17. Smith has that burst of speed and pack marking ability, the two things BBB isn't great at. When BBB is doing the above, it doesn't look great but he does other work which often goes unrewarded or he's impacting play even if doesn't get a touch on the ball. He did have a limited game on the weekend but still contributed. The coaches value this work but it doesn't help when Joel comes on and basically seals the game. Not sure if BBB will stay in this week, got the Tassie game in 2 weeks too.
  18. Cal Twomey's Phantom Form Guide: Top draft prospects' July ranking https://www.afl.com.au/news/981930/cal-twomey-s-phantom-form-guide-top-draft-prospects-july-ranking Seems to like the big boys more than some of the other rankings Harley Reid (Mid/Fwd) Jed Walters (Key Fwd) (Suns Academy) Nick Watson (Fwd) Colby McKercher (Mid) Daniel Curtin (Key Def/Fwd) Zane Duursma (Mid/Fwd) Nate Caddy (Key Fwd/Mid) Ethan Read (Ruck) (Suns Academy) Ryley Sanders (Mid) Connor O'sullivan (Key Def/Fwd) Jake Rogers (Mid) (Suns Academy) Darcy Wilson (Mid/Fwd) Jordan Croft (Key Fwd) Mitch Edwards (Ruck) (Freo NGA but will lose) Will McCabe (Key Def/Fwd) (Hawks F/S) Ollie Murphy (Key Def) Archie Roberts (Def) Riley Hardeman (Mid) Harry DeMattia (Mid/Fwd) Will Green (Ruck)
  19. Ignoring the fact it will benefit us, the way i see it, everyone took pleasure at our misfortune, we've definitely got some credits in the bank here
  20. This is why I've delayed getting tickets to the game, everything else booked. Excited
  21. Settled for a nice blue cocktail myself, almost finished my walk home, and I only live in Richmond. Might settle for the kayo mini tonight
  22. Met up with a Brisbane Mate at half time and I believe I said Melksham was killing us. So I also apologise to the milkman
  23. The Cats have played 186 games at home since Collingwood last played there in 1999, unreal aha.
  24. McVee lined up on him in the first meeting didn’t he?
  25. Very hard to gauge where the dockers are at this year. Happy to reap the benefits in the interim though
