		2025 Grand Final

Success in the MCC Ballot sees me attending. Hoping for a close game but think Cats just that level above.

		Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek

Getting a little bit bullish on Kentfield, hoping he has an impressive pre-season. I'm in favour of adding Brody to the list for various reasons but hopefully the powers to be are looking at tall and small options for the forward line

		Next Years Player Numbers

241241249- The amount of times @picket fence will advocate Jeffo's selection

		Rumours

Kolt was #13, From Pick 12 (Phoenix Gothard) - if you jump down to Pick 50, the only players who have really done well are Logan Morris (#31), Shaun Mannagh(#36) and Joel Freijah (#45) - Could maybe include Joe Fonti at 44 too but he's not the same level as those other blokes as yet. So its still early days for those players, but we're clearly not the only club to perhaps get this wrong (TBC)

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026

I was having a look at some of CPs stats, it's hard to gauge some of them, he obviously dominates inside 50 kicks, and accuracy aside, he's been 1st or 2nd in goal assists every season since 2017. Can that easily be replaced? Random Tidbit - What I also found is Dean Kent was the leading goal assister in 2016.

		Equalisation

What about if a top team picks up a free agent it loses draft pick/s. Sort of weigh up the now vs future element.

Jack Henderson Re-Signs for 1 Year

With Spargs going it makes some sense, low cost depth signing - probably plays less games in 2026 but solid enough option. Him and Laurie will be in last chance saloon in 2026, hopefully it lights a fire under them

		Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

(Aside from not live-streaming and having a roaming mic at the presser) - is it just me or has our social media game lifted a little the last week or so?

		Equalisation

Agreed Salary cap should be made public. But in terms of equalisation, afraid the Toothpaste is out of the tube on that one.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026

What would that do for his’ brand’ tho, smaller crowds than us in a Rugby state.

		Farewell Judd McVee

Think the boot was equally stuck into chuck, but also not sure you can call out others whilst simultaneously referring to a player as a plodder

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026

Only 2 games to report on from weekend, no MRO issues, only 2 games this week. Need something to talk about it, they're basically Buckley-ed out at this stage.

		State of Origin is Back

Would have had a slight interest if it was against SA for nostalgic reasons.

		Our Salary Cap

Trying to analyze/dissect our salary cap without the real data is like watching drunks play darts

		Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

Yeh a little funny when the situation is framed in a social setting and you're after a new relationship Option 1 : Yes I would like to date you 100% Option 2: I'd consider dating you, but only after I've spoken to someone else about possibly dating them.

		Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

Encountered this when Amorim was appointed at United, 8 months younger than I, that did not make sense.

		Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

10 years is quite a stint. Seems more the exception than the norm at present.

		Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

Kelly would have been the first (permanent) Demons head coach younger than me, don't like milestones like that. So i am in favour of this appointment

		2025 Membership Ladder

I get very little out of my MCC/MFC Dual membership, its more of a donation. I pay the Premium and aside from supporting the club, I get very little direct benefit - GA Access or MCC Guest Pass benefit a pal if i bring one, i don't have a kid so the junior membership goes to someone else's kid. The Premium is the only way to get the GFG but that's gone to waste last few seasons. I could easily get away with the Exclusive package, so do not follow me for financial advice.
