We can get around mid to high 30's at times but mainly around the 30- 35 degrees during summer and as Saty mentioned it can be very humid.60-80% at times so stiffling heat. This year we have had no real storms to speak about to cool things down. Up until yesterday (29 degrees tops) we have had 40 odd days of above 30 degrees and humid with little or no rain.

Riewoldt rates Hogan as better forward than TMac
Docs Demons replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't really care what Hogan does at Freo and could not care less what Reiwoldt thinks. All I want is for TMac to give us a contest, stays on park and kicks around a couple a game. With the rest of the forward line and mid fielders going through also contributing I will be happy and Hogan long forgotten. -
New Leadership Group includes Neville Jetta
Docs Demons replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Absolutely happy for Nev and the club. Great decision. In presser noted that Lewis will work with coaches and assist the leadership team. Transition time for Jordan but his experience has been and will be invaluable going forward. -
87 at Waverley for me.. Friend was the fitness/runner guy and got me and son in rooms after. Very sad however even if we had won I doubt we would have won the GF as Flower and Wilson would not have played and Carlton were far and above the best team. They gave Hawks a bath the following week.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
Docs Demons replied to Demonland's topic in AFL National Women's League
I might be a simple man but believe in a simple fix. 10 teams. 9 games and a final four. Extend season by one or two weeks. NO more teams for a year or two as talent is not there. -
Bit of fun here but any club that Eddie has involvement with normally chock. That would have to be the worst effort I have seen from so called professional cricketers.

Being up in Qld I also welcome ALL training reports including Saty's and expect them to continue. We must remember everyone has an opinion which MUST be respected even if you do not agree. -
Training - 2nd February, 2019 @ Maroochydore
Docs Demons replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would be nice if the club could post some reports, videos, interviews from Saturday. Last I can see is day 4 which was Friday and now it late Sunday night. The players were great on Saturday. Time for the club to step up a bit. -
Agree. Two for one normally wins out particularly of the class of May and KK. Let's forget about Hogan and look forward to our team performing each week with all giving 110%

Tomas Bugg Announces Retirement
Docs Demons replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Exactly. Some people can't help themselves, shooting off at the mouth without thinking. Bugg came to us when we were down. He gave his all and other than one incident was in my opinion a pretty good player. Wish him the best for the future and we move on. -
If my memory is correct it was BB, then playing in back line who went across Hudson's leg at Glenferrie Oval after he had kicked about 10 by half time and ended Hudson's career for a year or two .

Your not wrong. They stuffed up big time last year and many of us QLanders (most ex Vics) voiced our dissatisfaction to the club. 3 Generations of this family will be there Saturday.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Docs Demons replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
No way that will happen. The Lions have been training in crap facilities for years, Live up here and even where we are training in Maroochy is better than what Lions have. Also more seats in balance up here for election so that's where the money will be spent even though would love a facility for whole club in Melb. -
Weids ready to grab opportunity with both hands
Docs Demons replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hope so as we need him firing. -
Training - Wednesday 16th January, 2019
Docs Demons replied to Satyriconhome's topic in Melbourne Demons
Doubt it. I would err on the side of caution with him. To valuable a player to bring in early. Also I would throw him into Casey for a game or two first to ensure all is well. -
Couldn't agree more. There will be some very good players not getting a game in round 1. In past we gifted ordinary players a game because we had no depth. Different now. Players will be fighting tooth and nail to get a game which augers well for us NOT getting complacent.
-
Our biggest problem is that we get starts and no one goes on with it. Those 20's and 30's need to go big for us to improve.

Saw Buxton-Wales in a final at Bayswater (when down from Brissie for cats final) for Vermont against Sth Croydon and he looks a good type. Would not surprise if he gets a few games as a ruckman with Bradke in support. That is if Pruess plays ones.
-
Lynch, Brown, Bradshaw plus Akka etc was a pretty good forward line IMO.
-
Agree on the Weid and your namesake needs to also break out. Hoping Petracca can get to that next level. Him and the Weid along with proven performers up forward will create hell for the opposition.
-
Must agree on KK. Top 10 pick and if over his injuries/head issues then he will be the recruit of the year in my opinion. Saw a couple of his early games on GC and he is all class with some grunt.
-
Great news. His experience for the young guys will be invaluable. Just shows we have come a long way. In past most retired players would go to the opposition.
-
I hope he pulls his finger out and has a ripper season. If he does we will be better for it.
