Just got back home in Brissie after taking Sons and Grand Sons down for game. Being an ex Vic boy and been 20 odd years since at the G I could not ask any more from this team. We had an absolute ball amongst 80k Dee supporters at the G on Friday night. They bring the same intensity against the Hawks and clean up our entries into forward half and kick straight we are a big chance. It was unbelievable walking down to the G from our accom in East Melb. I reckon it must have been 3 to 1 Dee supporters out of ground and seemed about 10 to 1 in the ground. What a night.

This shambles is pathetic. Just trust you all finally get tickets like I finally managed. Coming down from Brisbane the Friday morning with Sons and 12 year old Twin Grand Sons. Hit Tulla 12.30pm. Bit early however have not been back in Melbourne for 20 odd years so looking for a place where the Demon faithful have a drink/feed before the game. All suggestions will be appreciated.

Even at end booked in for next available and page gave me Cat 2 which is good then timed out and back into payment and guess what they sold us Cat 3 up behind Goals. Assume at back of ground level behind cheer squad. At least got the tickets for boys and Grand Kids so here we come. Go Dees

I'm up in Brissie. Booked Accom and flights for 3 generations. Me Sons and Grand Sons. Same problem withTicketek and rang Tracy at Club. Not sold out just a issue with Ticketek. This is bloody stupid. Lion member mate of mine said the club gets the tickets for their members. That is what MFC should do!

Agree here. I thought we hit them hard at every opportunity. With Trac I believe he is a confidence player and yesterday's game will do him the world of good. Can excuse some basic errors. Just think he will take a game by the throat very soon and trust it is Friday week.

Very confident we will. Ablett looks for easy balls which he wont get against us, Selwood not like old and Frost will stitch up Hawk which leaves Harmes for Danger and game over. I hope!

What we must do is start well. Plenty of pressure and put score on board early to take out crowd which in turn will take out umpires. Weid to assist Gawn with 3 goals between them and plenty of others from Tom Mac etc. and we win. SIMPLE.

Disagree. I think we have a very good chance of winning this and cementing a place in the finals. Weagles, I believe are not that good and definitely not a top 2 team. Our structure without Hogan, as funny as it seems will be better and ensure players deliver with eyes open! We will win plenty of the ball and trust they look for our players for a change. I am confident on this one and we will put all the doubters to bed. I hope!

He has to be selected and give Max a chop out in ruck so Tom Mac can stay up forward. Then it is up to him. He has failed with the opportunities he has had in the past. Must win game for the team and Weid must deliver.

Again I have not or do not want to read all posts on this but my take is it will give someone else a go (maybe Weeds) and you never know it may well make those up the ground to FINALLY lower their eyes and look for someone spare in the forward line in lieu of tossing it up in air at Hogan. As bad as it is for Hogan this maybe a blessing for us and our entries into forward line will be better and forwards work better as a unit.

The delivery at times is ordinary however Jess struggles to get in right position and when he does win the ball his kicking for goal is poor. This holding the ball and moving it left /right etc before kicking is not what should be done. Just hold the ball and run straight at the goals. I hope he can become a first class KPF but must start taking strong pack marks, lead more often and kick bloody straight. Still a youngster so here's hopeing.

Does it really matter. Other than Viney and Hibberd the rest of possible ins are not much better than the 6 or so we want out. I believe we have only 15 AFL players and the rest just good , ordinary VFL players. If our top 15 don't play at their best then we are done like today.

Well said Old Dee. JJC and others must take into account they had 20 players from mid way through first quarter and we still found a way to lose. It's just happening all the time and even if we made it to finals will be out in first set. No leaders, no one to drag the team up and follow him. Blokes like Petracca get their ambitions mixed up with their capabilities and most of the rest choke big time when pressure is on.

Concur. Great servant and player but today ran around by himself and never GUT ran to cover the Sydney players. Ran around in middle by himself looking for cheap kicks.

You people all are joking. Can't blame the Umpires. Try blaming those insipid blokes that wore our jumpers today. They were the one's that lost us the game not the Umpires.

That's what happens when you only have 20 players and beat a team with 22. Only the Demons can do that. I am just waiting for the day that we can be arrogant but now 65 and don't know how long I can wait
