  1. Gee I hope so seeing we are playing about 5 men down. Is Hannan, Hunt, ANB, Pruess and Jetta playing? You wouldn't think so and throw in Jones. How we are only a goal down has me beat. Then again miracles can happen and we come home with a wet sail.
  2. Hope your right but who s going to kick our goals or enough to win.
  3. Plenty of kicks but nearly every one went to Carlton. Up here at home in Qld and would have to be the worst game of Footy I have ever seen. Just as well Carlton are giving it back to us after we give it to them. Taking in turns to stuff it up. Oh well it is the 2nd and 3rd last teams
  4. I tend to agree with this. Also we have had a mini rebuild during season by being forced to play a few youngsters and others that may well have played all season at Casey
  5. That was near us and I was yelling 'have a shot' but no he goes sideways and misses target. We have to many players that are soft, weak and no brains. Need someone to be responsible when a key moment comes up and take control of the situation. Also why didn't one of our senior players go to him, settle him down and instruct to shoot for goal. Happens to often.
  6. Blood oath. We are a pack of pansies that need some tough love. Season done and seeing Lever maybe in I would put him in the forwards this week for the first quarter to sort that useless bunch of so called footballers out. Then maybe 2nd quarter in mid field to direct those haphazard players out. They need it big time. Back to defence for 2nd half. Job done. We win.
  7. Yes something is amiss with him. Gets the pill but turns it over to much for my liking. But at least he is getting it which is allot more than some on this team. Some of the efforts in last quarter particularly by our forwards was inept to say the least. They just let Lions backs just take it out to easily and some just did not put the effort in . In front of us a couple of our forwards were just jogging around doing F all.
  8. I was at the ground and someone mentioned Lions have received 11 free kicks in a row to our zero!! Mind you they were first to the ball so they deserved some frees but 11 in a row n a bit much.
  9. Yep I would like to get some $$$'s on if anyone will give me 8 goal start!. Macca?
  10. Same here and was at the G in 64 GF. Allot of us are well into 60's or older as Dees were dominant back then and kids like me supportrd them In my case it was a case of going against parents as both followed Magpies!. Need to win today and I'm confident we will.. Cover Neale with Harmes, Backline to play well and TMac to give Andrews the run around.
  11. Great day up here and the ground should be fast by start time. Reckon we have a big chance here. Bring the pressure, win contested ball and the clearances and win it will be. Lions played circle work last week as Saints put no pressure on and a couple of weeks ago Lions were ordinary against Blues. Go Dees.
  12. Yep same here. Phone call then the email with latest tickets. Mind you I have had 3 emails with tickets since I booked them in May, first 2 with what I believe invalid tickets and today the real ones I trust.
  13. Sunday to be 25 degrees and sunny. Gabba track will be fast as it drains well. Will be there with kids & grand kids With most posters here. Hibberd for Wagner the main change and if Lewis gets a run then for ANB or Hannan and Lewis to rotate through midfield using his excellent kicking into I hope leading forwards.
  14. No way we trade Brayshaw or any of the young midfield group we have assembled. Brayshaw, Oliver, Trac and Harmes will be our core mids going forward.
  15. No changes. We need continuity with the side. Lever out by the looks of it and would not rush Hibberd back. Stay as is.
  16. JV was absolutely fantastic on Saturday. Shame on those that wanted him traded at end of season. He is our heart and soul. He was back to his best and led from the front and took no prisoners.
  17. With you Nasher. Whilst he has struggled he has not been alone. Needs more time to build up the body and learn a bit more of the craft and I believe he will eventually become a decent player for us. Give him some time.
  18. We all have our own opinions and mine is to have only minimal delistings to go to the draft. We need to keep all our core young mids like Oliver, Gus and hopefully Trac who next year should spend more time in the middle. These guys get along well together and I believe will be the makings of the best midfield in the comp. Add in Harmes and it could be scary. This years draft crop like Lockhart, Sparrow etc I trust will improve greatly and add to this. Plenty of skill training in off season particularly kicking to advantage will help.
  19. Of course Gawn should give Darcy a touch up however when he feeds the mids they need to look for a red and blue forward instead of bombing the pill. Be a nice change!
  20. We must win as many games as possible to lead us into next season in a good spot. Also needed if we are to continue increasing membership next year. And finally if players are playing hurt then give them extended rests and have a look as more of the kids to see if they can cut it for next season.
  21. Like allot on here I would give those hampered by injuries an extended rest and play the decent kids like Lockhart plus throw in Lewis for on field general stuff. Keep KK and Dunkley at Casey for a couple more games then throw them in. Outs are those injured like TMac andViney
  22. 7 goal loss to a side that also did not play that well and we clapped them off . No wonder the players are soft and have no idea how to pass by foot or hand to their own team mates.
  23. Both play like they do not want the ball. One way of saying they need to toughen up. Their pressure and tackling was not good.
  24. Blood oath. Pity May can't get down to the forward line and give a spray to Mac, Spargo, and Garlett in particular. Might tell them some home truths.
  25. Both he and the Weid DO NOT lead to ball carriers. Both drop back and oppo just cut us off to often.
