Whilst I would like to drop about 10 of them I realise this is not going to happen as Casey playing today does not allow enough time for recovery if someone has a blinder. Also seeing I have settled down from Friday night I reckon minimal changes as we need some continuity.Take into account the crap umpiring (decisions there favour close to goal) and that most of our players are crap at moment we still only lost by 3 goals. Some upside for us ( I hope)

Operation get rid of Oscar and ANB!
Docs Demons replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry DV8 but all ANB does is run laps around the MCG a million miles from the footy and when he does get near it or heaven help us gets it he turns it over. That dropped chest mark is a good example. Fine to have runners but they indeed need to be also footballers. -

Trade him now if I could. Dumbest footballer I have seen. -

We certainly can lose ANB. Gives us stuff all. JKH has not shown to be a AFL player yet. -
Can't agree more with this summary. Spot on. Weak as P

Wayne that is a poor excuse. Frees were fairly even. We were just pathetic. Look at our players like Frost, OMac, Jones, Viney, Hibberd, Trac, TMac, ANB and worst of all, Weed who just didn't put a effort in all night. Some of his hanging arms out as a tackle disgusted me That is 8 players who I think gave us NOTHING. Hard to win with 14 players. Also they were short a player from early in 1st quarter
-
Not silly statements Mono. Roos got the fundamentals right by shoring up the defence then pushed us forward. JLT and last 3 games we have gone backwards. Can't blame backs entirely as mids like Jones do not get back to help.
-
Yes and Jones as a mid did he get a disposal in back line. Doubt it. Pathetic Captain and Viney not far behind. We were let down badly by our leaders.
-
OMac and Frost have to be the dumbest footballers I have seen or played with in more than 50 years. Get rid of them along with Jones.
-
One game and heaps of % out of eight. Win Friday and catch up a bit of % and no need to panic anymore!!
-
And that is where the turn around will come. Most players know they have the Coaches support. You can't have 20 odd more inside 50's and be a bad team. Just need to nail a couple of goals from better inside 50 delivery early Friday night and we will be up and running. If Goody has the trust and confidence in the team then I have but, and a big but, some players really need to deliver very soon or that trust will go.,
-
To true however he needs some time at Casey along with a few more but it wont happen as I'm not sure if we have ready AFL replacements at Casey.
-
Match committee needs to make a early statement in my opinion. Whilst we won inside 50's by heaps the level of good disposals into the forwards was again poor BUT players like Weid need a lesson and dropped to two's to learn to work again. Some of his efforts were pathetic. He has only played one outstanding game in his career to date and rest ordinary. Needs to learn to work harder. Hibberd was again poor. For a bloke that once was a excellent defender who found a team mate nearly every time he now just's bombs the ball away. Our longest servant in Jones also needs a break and get some form in two's. Even when he gets the ball he just throws it on boot in hope. Trac also needs to go and find form at Casey. To much of a pretty boy for me. Won't even comment on Oscar as after numerous VB's and red wine I may just go over the top. He has no idea and can't play footy at all. No doubt Goody will only make a couple of changes but I hope the players realise it will not just happen and they all need to work hard and follow the likes of Oliver, Brayshaw and tonight, Viney.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAY LOCKHART
Docs Demons replied to Mickey's topic in Melbourne Demons
If this is true then I suspect he comes in for Spargo. No tackles, lacks speed and at times seems to just follow the packs about 10 yards behind and makes no impact. Spell at Casey will do him good, get his confidence back and push again for seniors. -
I reckon something similar to what I posted under Michael Christian in that Port were blocking/bumping Max and others 30-50 yards from the play which is illegal.
-
Also the bumping/blocking of the ball (no punches) need to be picked up by Umpires and free kick paid. When the ball is 5 metres away and someone blocks /bumps like Port did all day to Max then pay a free as it is the rules. Then it maybe cut out. They pay blocking etc when players go for marks. 3 Umpires out there and pay a free.
-
Nor could he do any better and to have a dig at our medical team when he has no back ground to back it up is silly. IMO Misson has done a great job for this club and who ever comes in will have big shoes to cover.
-
Mate, we played more than 2 short but agree that Jones and Viney were poor. Reckon Viney will be better for the run but Jones I think he is nearly done albeit been a great player for this club. Even under done you don't gift 2/3 goals to he opposition from baby mistakes. Your other point on pace is fine but if you win the ball and kick to YOUR own team mates it makes us look quick. Today we looked slow because we bombed and never gave any one up the ground a chance with our shocking disposal skills.
-
Did you see the Weid actually put in today. He was lethargic and basically didn't chase, tackle or give any effort out there today. Trust it was a bad one, put it away and play consistently like the game against Cats in Semi
-
Not sure on KK needing 2 weeks in two's. We played 3 blokes today who didn't play a praccy game in one's at all and only Milkshake gave something. Jones and Viney, both Captains played NOT as Captains. KK will at least provide some run and delivery.
-
Also can't kick over a jam tin. Have a look at the guy for Doggies tonight. Just as small and runs in right spots and normally delivers by foot and hand to his own team mates. Understand he has been in for a few years but Spargo now is in 2nd year after nearly playing all last year and I see nothing in him that gives me any confidence. Hope I'm wrong .
-
I'm with you there Macca. Late start or not the way we decided not to run flat chat and just let Port run away from us is worrying. Could name at least 6 players that looked disinterested and jogged around about 20 yards off the ball doing nothing. Goodwin needs to put a rocket up most of them. Also our IQ is poor. Need to do some basic paper work Monday instead of training. Some of those players had blank empty faces out there and did not know what to do.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
Docs Demons replied to Demonland's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
Let's face it. We were not good enough. Onwards and upwards next year !! -
I meant something along the lines of Cats!!! if you can work out the censored!
-
A joke and it is confirmed the AFL is a game for hard running [censored]! Our legal team must have recruited from high school.
