  1. are you a provisional mcc member?
  2. Agree, reboot for a month or over pre season. If a forward gets injured he is next up so we still need him. Some might recall he struggled with his contract year last time for a period ... extend he by one or two years on modest money with good incentives and take the shackles off him
  3. Sam isn't exactly going out on a limb ... 15-25% ... 30% ... 50% ... next 36 hours
  4. I think our focus needs to be around developing a key tall by trading into the top 10 or seeing if there are any still very young outside the box types at state level ... Weid looks like he won't make it and tmac and BBB will do the job but won't be around in about 3 years when our youthful mids in Trac, Oliver, Jordan, Harmes, Brayshaw are still running rampant through the middle
  5. Seems to be as strong a sponsor as we have had for some time - to cover both AFL and AFLW shows that Zurich truly sees the value in our relationship. Our leading community programs and players (i.e Nev Jetta) help differentiate us from other clubs. Anyone know who has been our longest serving main / principle sponsor?
  6. Anyone can play Melks role at the moment
  7. Pretty sure Jones and Jetta would know they in their last year
  8. Dean Kent? ... you don't get handed midfield roles ... you train hard, must do heaps of extras, and get your body right ... then and only then do you ask to play in the middle
  9. Correct, and a few always go out eg either Weid or Tmac may look elsewhere for security. Neither is getting a long term contact at mfc. Also clubs smooth out contracts to get players into salary cap ie offer tmac extension of 1 to 2 years and smooth out the amount over those years ... l think that's what gawn and lever have done and may should do. If we want a gun player there is always a way - two guns isn't doable though
  10. Not what Jason Taylor said
  11. Reiwoldt while On the Coach recognised the re emergence of the role of wingers and will pick them ahead on ballers as part of his AA selector role ... was also positive about lingers chances
  12. haven't missed them at all in recent times
  13. Wonder whether Pert and co. will try to engender support from affluent supports and whether government funding will be dependant on what the supporters and the club can also contribute. AFL would likely chip in also
  14. That one is life size ;)
  15. correct a member of the demon army got them organised
  16. They are created by demon supporting local printers and graphic designers
  17. More excited to see what this season does for our 2022 membership ... 60k is very achievable
  18. 2 disposals more than the medical sub
  19. Not sure a few lucky goals at the end will save him this week
  20. For MFC to take a second pick suggests there is fair bit to like about him
  21. Losing faith in Weid reaching gun forward status. On the plus side he kicks straight, competes hard and brings the ball to ground most but not all the times. Looking forward to BB being a permanent fixture again before finals come around
  22. Understand the argument for keeping May at home, although he is a better mark than all the names you have mentioned, and most of those are forwards anyhow. Petty and Lever are still available to sit at home in this place
  23. l've wondered before whether having May's marking ability at half back or towards the wing when Salem or others kick in is a better option than him kicking out and not being utilised
  24. More importantly what will this do to #positivelingers shirt sales
