  1. never needed fixing. nice pick though and looks to have some tools to work with
  2. he said he was in the last 3 in his sacked podcast. https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/sacked-mark-williams-the-power-to-win/id1470557961?i=1000447367888
  3. jackson pushed for him as ceo only after failing to attract a successor with matching experience
  4. Excellent coach and can push a more ruthless approach, just needs to shut up sometimes
  5. l think the 1st year can be a learning year to understand what is required. so still see him as a quick adaptor given he did what he did in the 2nd year and went from fat to fit very quickly
  6. Some players 'get it' earlier than others like Oliver, Viney and apply themselves from the beginning. Not just at training and the extra sessions many do but well above that. Petracca perhaps took longer than he may have but is there now. Gawn by his own admission took longer for it to click. Its when you know you have an emerging A grader. some don't ever get it like sylvia
  7. moving him up field is good in theory and mfc have tried him up field a couple of times and his deficiencies show through. maybe he has matured since but lacks a yard of pace, instinctive thinking, and is very. one sided. love him at half back
  8. If true, I imagine MFC have said he needs to get the 2021 preseason program set up and going and also handover to a 2nd in charge before they consider terminating the contract
  9. Doubt he has the motivation to move states and find the new and smart tricks you need to stay relevant at his age
  10. Still find it a bit odd that we traded next year's 1st round pick for this years given the club has said they thought the draft was weaker
  11. You could interpret that as being a last call for bidders to try and leap frog back into contention after being told the house was on the market and above reserve price
  12. ben held out for a better deal pre covid after getting a good offer from norf, why expect any different now. trade period hasn't even started and clubs always up the ante when they get nervous
  13. Benefit is he can fill two roles as a backup forward or more importantly a backup ruck. Mitch Brown is only a back up forward and would move on if we acquire him in my opinion. Good move
  14. Pretty good coin for a 24 goal forward. Don't think gws really want to pay that much for him but they have called the cats bluff after they committed to him. Awesome to see.
  15. ... edited as the post was meant for the jeremy cameron thread
  16. Norf likely to have to pay for some of his salary if he moves ...
  17. With the soft cap coming down and the team under performing, staff will understand that change is necessary and that keeping a job (almost any job) is the most important thing. Mahoney will get his head around that if he hasn't already.
  18. Training or motivation was never an issue with Jessie while a MFC. He was always super fit despite what might have been going on behind the scenes and with the his and his dads health. He has had two significant foot injuries in recent times and the risk of getting another would be high I suspect. Probably gets easily frustrated with being in rehab and lets things get to him and does some silly but mostly harmless things
  19. I feel like we don't have the complete story on his reoccurring ankle injury as he has been super competitive for us prior to that when playing in defence and in attack. Looks to have lost confidence in his movements as much as anything. Is a favourite player of mine and hope if he stays his body gives him the chance to get to his best again
  20. Both good signing. Not every player we sign can be star. We have what is called a salary cap. I'm sure they aren't costing us a heap of coin. Spargo still has some potential to have a break out year and has good attributes. While Hore was playing regular footy and doing ok before his run of injuries - a handy backup with O&Tmac looking to move on.
  21. At 200 cm I imagine doing sudden u-turns isn't his forte
  22. They are apparently well progressed with getting Jessie Hogan and I suspect Jessie would prefer the anonymity afford to AFL players in NSW. Collingwood would probably be a better fit for tmac now that all other forwards appear to be off the table
  23. COVID this year suited the ageing cats line up with a shortened season and shortened quarters. Things could be different next season and adding another pensioner to their list is a surprise
  24. That younger player will likely come in the form of a speculative pick 60 plus in a draft that is said to be of lesser quality and they typically won't bother the scorers. I'm not big on 3 years and would like him for 2. Would take 2 with some decent triggers for a 3rd year
  25. Maybe a moves into the commercial or marketing side of the business to round out his CV as that area was seen as a gap when the applied for Pert's job.
