CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
Selectors have shown they are picking in form players ... Weid and Brown originally got a crack after strong VFL form ... Brown played well last week in the shortened match sim and if he gets a good game in tomorrow he will be strongly considered for GWS ... Weid will need a solid block of 3 or 4 games so forget him returning sooner unless there are injuries ... lets not jump the gun however as injury news sometimes comes out a few days after the match which would change things

TICKETING: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Awesome night ... junior home and away membership worked a treat ... as I scanned the ticket through the turnstiles an attendant approached me ... I thought that would be the end of the night before it started ... he then asked me to put on my COVID mask ... I have never been so happy to wear one ... solid win by the dees while not playing our best footy

When do we get to see Majak?
Lots of games to come, the Daw is still open

TICKETING: Rd 15 vs Essendon
l think they have some sort of lights system at the turnstiles on the attendants side that shows if they are junior tixs or not. Anyone know
-
Nathan Jones
Absolutely right. Probably a greater risk is that a younger player would be less able to handle the occasion

Forgive me for I have sinned ... in a moment of weakness I looked up the bombers cheapest membership package ($85) ... I gave it serious thought before repenting and now seek the forgiveness of the demonland faithful

Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
Agree, reboot for a month or over pre season. If a forward gets injured he is next up so we still need him. Some might recall he struggled with his contract year last time for a period ... extend he by one or two years on modest money with good incentives and take the shackles off him

Trade Targets
I think our focus needs to be around developing a key tall by trading into the top 10 or seeing if there are any still very young outside the box types at state level ... Weid looks like he won't make it and tmac and BBB will do the job but won't be around in about 3 years when our youthful mids in Trac, Oliver, Jordan, Harmes, Brayshaw are still running rampant through the middle

Zurich Recommits Until 2023
Seems to be as strong a sponsor as we have had for some time - to cover both AFL and AFLW shows that Zurich truly sees the value in our relationship. Our leading community programs and players (i.e Nev Jetta) help differentiate us from other clubs. Anyone know who has been our longest serving main / principle sponsor?

Trade Targets
Anyone can play Melks role at the moment
-
Trade Targets
Pretty sure Jones and Jetta would know they in their last year
-
Trade Targets
Dean Kent? ... you don't get handed midfield roles ... you train hard, must do heaps of extras, and get your body right ... then and only then do you ask to play in the middle
-
Trade Targets
Correct, and a few always go out eg either Weid or Tmac may look elsewhere for security. Neither is getting a long term contact at mfc. Also clubs smooth out contracts to get players into salary cap ie offer tmac extension of 1 to 2 years and smooth out the amount over those years ... l think that's what gawn and lever have done and may should do. If we want a gun player there is always a way - two guns isn't doable though

Trade Targets
Not what Jason Taylor said

Anyone miss the old season review videos?
haven't missed them at all in recent times
-
Training Ground?
Wonder whether Pert and co. will try to engender support from affluent supports and whether government funding will be dependant on what the supporters and the club can also contribute. AFL would likely chip in also
