  1. Get in while there aint no sin-bin. Apologies if any children are reading.
  2. The best 'creative' players lead the clanger count! Id love to see a clangers per posession stat as a mediocre player who avgs 10-15 possies would prob have a higher ratio, and the worst players probably not many as they never get the ball.
  3. Shane's pool room should have the bottle of bleach he used, next to his Charlie.
  4. Just upon watching the replay, his head whips back upon initial impact, but then it looks like his body holds up and doesn't fling back. Like there was a moment of awareness or remembering of something that he may have been taught to do upon impact - I'm just glad he wasn't playing last week and the opponent was Mumford, as his head still does look like it flings back quite strongly and a bigger hit may have done some damage.
  5. I thought Matera predominantly played wing, along with Stinga. they were two of the most distinctive players of my childhood. I don't think the running HB had been invented back then. All clubs just had a back 6 consisting of 4 varying sized stopper backmen and 2 small back pockets?
  6. Give me Brett Lovett/Sam Frost's 17 wins for 2017.
  7. Pretty important today. Was a solid everywhere link man in the first half and put his body on line on many occasions.
  8. This graphic also belongs on the Jordan Lewis thread with the 'he's finished' comments.
  9. Perfectly timed momentum bursting loss for the Dons. I'd expect them to have another loss to ... Oh [censored]. They play the two worst teams in the AFL right now.
  10. We played them when they were up and about. It's about when you play teams. Freo of round 4 would've beaten Sydney of round 4 - We got Adelaide, St Kilda, Essendon and perhaps a few others when they were not playing their peak footy, just like teams have got us while not playing at peak. Every team in the battle for the 8 has missed opportunities that would have made them fighting for top 2 right now, but instead they're fighting for the scraps of the lower end of the finals. One thing is for certain, both these teams would be doing us by 50+ points if we continue our form of the past 3 weeks.
  11. 8 point loss for the Dogs if this keeps up, percentage now 98.5% and GWS consolidating a hold on a home final over a Richmond/Geelong charge
  12. Smashing the Swans and Eagles after that would be nice as well.
  13. We gave 2nd round for Melksham and then Hibberd, and now we're giving it AND Watts for Sicily? Watts is not steak knives because of a few bad games and an untimely omission, a club would take him on the proviso that they could get the best out of him, and his best is elite. Sicily is not elite, this is what we'd offer for someone who is a gamechanger and addresses a serious need. Like Isaac Smith for instance. The Hawks need defenders and would probably want Frost. Sicily for Frost, straight swap as Sicily will assumedly have nominated us. (If Lever fell through) Watts will be selected against Brisbane and Collingwood and will get another opportunity to redeemon himself if we beat the Saints.
  14. Only three weeks ago really against Port. An incredible first half and a gritty mature second half.
  15. Jack Riewoldt leaving? What is the relevance to Hogan if I may ask? A trade?
  16. Kent for Motlop I disagree with this one. How many opportunities do we give a senior leader in Bernie Vince, and yet when Bugg does it, he's to be delisted? It was a stupid and careless thing to do, but i genuinely don't think he intended to get the face and more the neck. But moving onto his playing ability, Bugg has shown great potential as a 'momentum' player ie he has a tiny amount of X-Factor that can get the team up and going. He was to work on his skills and kicking for goal ability over the summer and could come back as a dangerous 30-40 goal a season player if he hits peak (And so does the club) Perhaps Casboult? No idea about 'spread', but he has shown great improvement in goal kicking if you discount his effort against Essendon last week. Edit: 29 goals this year

  18. Does anyone know what the story on Colin Garland is for 2018? Is the club aiming to rehab him back into contention to hold down a matchday spot? Or If he does not go on, will the club be looking for another key defender to replace one of Omac or Frost in the 22 (if Lever falls through)? Or to replace Garlands 2017 role prior to the injury ie depth ?
