  1. Looks set for a year at half forward, so 15-20 touches and a goal would be more around the mark. Will probably step more into the middle in following years. Already a solid contributor, but I'm still undecided where his ceiling is.
  2. Players are obviously instructed to leave their nearest opponent and push up to the ball carrier, which sometimes might pressure a turnover, but more often than not leads to a handball over them to the now free man up the field. Feels like players are just doing it on auto-pilot sometimes, when it's clear they would be better off sticking with their opponent or hedging their bets a bit.
  3. Still feels like we are way to easy to score against when we inevitably turn it over. The work around the ball is good though. The way West Coast have run and scored so easily is the exact way St Kilda tear us up every time, which is the worrying part for round 1.
  4. Fair enough. I suspect our differing opinions is basically just I expect clash/away strips to be vastly different, and that probably comes from growing up watching as much soccer as footy. In soccer, an away strip is completely different, and it probably also explains why the white jumper never really bothered me as much as others. Although I did draw the line when Brock McLean came out in the long sleeve silver jumper.
  5. I assume you are having a dip at me, and again, completely missing my point. I think most AFL clash jumpers are a joke, and as I said, we obviously saw other teams and decided if it was good for them, it was good for us. Richmond's little bit of yellow down the side another great example of a clash jumper joke. If they don't enforce proper clash jumpers, may as well just wear the home jumper and white shorts.
  6. Given other comments like "it is basically the same as our home jumper", and "I forgot it was even a clash jumper", and others thinking it was our new home jumper, I think it is pretty obvious what I was getting at. I would love to wear the red and blue every week, and if the powers that be tick this one off, then I am delighted. But personally, I would have expected if the AFL wanted clash jumpers, they would want them to be, you know, less clashy. Obviously this isn't unique, as many other teams have similar subtle changes, so obviously we have said, stuff it, if they can all do it than so can we.
  7. If this has been ticked off by the AFL, they may as well just do away with clash strips.
  8. Saw this, was Libba I think. And he then got pinged for a throw at the resulting centre bounce.
  9. Interested why you think Sydney will slide? They lost Mitchell, but just means Heeney moves into the middle full time. With Heeney and Mills from the academy, they have topped up an already quality list with 2 premium youngsters, without having to drop down the ladder or trade anyone out for high picks. I personally can't see them missing top 4.
  10. A category B rookie being called a "better clone of Nat Fyfe/Luke Parker"...that will do me.
  11. What a farce. Actually quite disgusting to not mention it until everyone has purchased their subscriptions. Not as bad Optus holding the EPL hostage, forcing people to become Optus customers to watch it, but it's up there.
  12. Typical Dunn performance. Looked ok, a long bomb super goal, a brain fade, and even a flop trying to milk a 50.
  13. Paxman and O'Dea were terrific. Ball use was much better in the second half. Mithen and one of the defenders whose name I don't know, turned it over every single time in the first half.
  14. I am onboard with the reduction/removal of the interchange. It isn't so much a rule change, as an adjustment to ensure the game is played the way it was intended, rather than the abuse of interchange rotations that crept in. KB is on the money. 16 a side and especially zones are ridiculous ideas. Imagine trying to enforce zones, plucking out random free kicks because of players out of position. It would be a disaster.
  15. Too many players who just can't kick, meaning any ball movement just inevitably breaks down.
  16. As soon as they saw Jack Viney finished outside the top 50, and below Crisp and others, surely they would have gone back to the drawing board and re-did the formula.
  17. Port have a massive cap squeeze to. Trengrove would also fill a need as key position / back up ruck, if we think he is good enough.
  18. Yet to show anything? He looked unbelievable when he played before injuries. I don't like seeing any player not get a crack at it because of injury, but there is an evil part of all of us, who want this to blow up in Hawthorn'a face.
  19. Isn't 2017 meant to be a stronger draft? Play the long game and use this years second rounder if that's the case.
  20. Personally not interested. He accumulates possessions, but is an ordinary kick. Doesn't fill a need and would just be taking up a spot on the list.
  21. Personally, I would love Tippett. Fills a big hole in our side. People forget he was having a very good year until he got injured and missed a big chunk of the second half of the season.
  22. The side is really coming together nicely. My absolute dream would be 2 more players... 1. One more outside mid with speed and deadly delivery 2. A top quality forward/ruck And there is no way Oliver doesn't make my 2017 team. I don't think a fully fit Oliver will play for Casey again.
  23. Welcome to the MFC Jordan. Nathan Jones must be stoked to have someone of Lewis' calibre and experience to help him lead this young group.
  24. Well, if we can get it done for a second rounder plus Dunn, I will personally forge all the relevant signatures. Would be an absolute steal.
  25. Any deal for Rockliff would have to start with our 2017 first rounder. As for Clark, lol, I would be gobsmacked if they let him walk back through the doors.
