I honestly can't. Jetta was good, the McDonald boys held their own, but barely another winner on the ground.

No doubting his set shots have increasingly become an issue as this year has gone on though, Petracca as well for that matter. Both could be anything, but have a fixable flaw in their games.

Patheric performance, woeful effort. As soon as we get pumped up in the media, we drink our own bath water, fans included. Finals are far from a certainty next year, as we are still weak in the head.

I would be there with bells on. Imagine watching the young dees come out and put them and their supporters back in their hole in front of a huge crowd and audience. Would be awesome.

During the game on Saturday night, I found myself subconsciously standing up every time he got the ball.

Can't complain about a 40 point win in Adelaide. Port's kicking was the worst I have seen in a long time. Them and Collingwood are carrying too many terrible users of the footy. Especially out of defence.

Actually refreshing to read a draftees weaknesses, rather than listen to guys like Shifter Sheahan make every player sound like the second coming of Chris Judd or Wayne Carey.

we haven't 3 in a row forever, and we would need to go on a 5 game winning spree to be any chance. And even that relies heavily on other results. I would love to dream but I gave up any hope after the losses to St Kilda and West Coast.

Watched from Brisbane, and if Eddie mentioned Wiedeman's Collingwood connection one more time, I would have put my fist through the television.

IMO, Pedersen gets another year as depth. Twice the player as Dawes for half the price. Obviously not future, but valuable during the handover.

Usually players sign a contract and go back to bed, until that deal is almost done. Absolutely elite few weeks of football.

I still have a couple of queries (as I do with most players), but he has been good the last month or so. My only knocks are his composure in tight situations and not hitting markings contests as hard as he could. Every young player has things they need to work on, and as I said, his last month has been good stuff.

Post Daniher, definitely our best win

I have said it all year, I don't think hawthorn can win the flag. Their current style of footy won't hold up in 3 finals. They sweat on opposition mistakes and use their precision from there. Not sure they will get that luxury for a whole month of finals against other top teams.

I haven't seen him play much, but get the feeling he will be better suited to AFL rather than the windy and wet conditions he has faced in the VFL every second week. Good idea to give him a few games this year with relatively little pressure. Dawes is neither the future or the present.

His last 10 or so games have been very good, after a patchy start to the season.
