The good things is despite our midfield, he won't be the sole target up forward, he should have at least a key positon tall or two to help out, plus he has shown he can play CHB if its all one way traffic. Lets hope he doesn't have to enduer 100 point losses though.

Playing a Hird type midfield/half forward role similair to Howe. He is definitely a natural forward as he showed under Craig. He would occasionally go to full forward if he a gets a smaller mis matched opponent. Very likely if Dawes, Clark and Hogan were playing. Will he be any good at extracting the ball though when its his turn? and yes every midfielder has to be able to get in the clinches and win some contested footy. Thats his biggest question mark. I still have my doubts.

Whas the go with Taggert? Why would we delist a big bodied midfielder with skill, who was slowly getting better to finally become an emergency? given his injuries it appears a little harsh.

agreed. I'm hoping some midfield work might take the pressure off where he can accumluate some valuable posessions around the ground. Seems more at ease linking up play. Geez you would like to see him full of confidence to see what he can actually do.

Highlights reel underwelming I feel, except for some long kicks for goal. That whole package reeks of softness. good we he gets a run at it, but not impressive when in contested situations, and that his highlights package. looks the type to go to watyer if someone sticks on him. nowhere near the talent of a Jurrah for instance in pure football terms, except maybe kicking.

This doesn't make sense. Surely starting after Christmas delays his season. if he started in May for instance he would get a full pre-season in.

I agree, we still have the worst midfield. The most Roos could do is close the gap somewhat, and he has done that. I believe we will have a significantly better midfield though mainly due to Vince and Cross, helping to make blokes like Viney, Toumpas, Tyson, Taggert fight and earn their spot. The competition just increased significantly. If Gawn can take another step up, we may jstart ot compete at least with the lower teams and not be pushed aside in the midfield.

Jones captain Grimes vice captain. Let trengove get back to enjoying his footy. I have a feeling the leadership comes naturally to Grimes but good if he took a more minor role. outside chance would be Frawley. hard to leave if you're captain.

Moloney must be thinking he is cursed. Left Geelong to Melbourne just before they became a powerhouse on field, dees turn to sh1te then Brisbane look even worse. Karma ??

If we won more of the ball he and Frawley could be so damaging on the burst. He has a good turn of speed for a big guy. I wish he could 'lock down' more on his oppenent one on one though, but that can come with time. Yes needs to work on disposal but we have something to work with here.

He doesn't name them but there are two players with those initials - Adam Treloar (midfielder) and Adam Tomlinson (193 cm forward). Have no idea whether its bullsh1t or not.

Yes Nahas would be worth a look at. We have no-one like him and if we ever got our midfield working he would love being at the feet of all our tall forwards. You wouldn't pay a lot for him but h'es actualyl shown more than say Sam Blease.

Priority pick is gone forever. No one can get one after the Dees being denied this year. To be honest I though Port deserved one after two years of sh1te when they only beat 2 or 3 established teams, and they deserve every plaudit for their rise up the ladder. Stick with him. Essendon were going to get rid of Watson but persisited with him even though he couldn't kick and was slow. Now look at him. just a really good strong footballer. A big body with foot skills is what we need. Let him learn the game and he could be an extremely valuable asset. As someone said though, we have to jag one don't we?

Both can play. They just need CONFIDENCE. Blease has lacked it since he started, but he should be owning a wing on the G with his ability.
