disagree. he recovered from injury 2024 then had a full preseason, then played all year without major injuries, and was bog average in a lot of games. i thought his 7th placing in the B&F flattered him. you cannot convince me he prepared off field like he did prior to 2023. noone was going to pay anything decent to take him.

thats a good point. We would be well under our cap presently, so for next year it would be in our interests to rewrite our part of the contract to front load the payments to Oliver. which he would agree to. It may not be allowed though.

totally agree. the odds of picking up a 100-200 gamer are very small. he's worth a pick in the teens in a poor draft, and we didnt demand it. pathetic.

pick 12 ends up as pick 16ish in a poor draft. its certainly not overs. you'd be hoping you can pick up a Judd.

Why is JVR deemed a fail?. Hes well ahead of Mihocek at the same age and i expect him to be just as good or better. he lost confidence this year but thats ok, most players go through that. Weideman was a bust and yes Jefferson to me doesnt look like making it.

I agree we caved in. the tail was wagging the dog. noone predicted the drop off by both players, but Oliver especially was a poor kick even at his best and can only play midfield, so it was too big a contract.

Develop beyond the midfield ? Clayton cannot play anywhere but midfield. He was terrible in the backline, and as a forward is a shocking kick.

I've been a huge fan but you cannot convince me he now prepares to the same level as even up to 2023. I hope he gets his fitness and prep right for 2026 but like Trac he's dropped off significantly. being a top 5 paid player in the league leaves us hamstrung unfortunately. and appears untradeable.

pick 11 in a weak draft and will be pushed back a number of picks as we know. hes absolutely worth pick 11. cough up or weagles take him in the preseason draft.

agreed. i was surprised how poor he was. definite gun kick when given room, but when the heat was on his kicking and decision making was very ordinary.
