INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
Yep, really impressed in his first year, a lot to like. a very good all round game. I'd say Langford is the most exciting for me but Lindsay close behind.

A New Dawn for the Dees Midfield
we seemed to have quickly forgotten about our most talked up midfield player in preseason...Culley. I thought our midfield could be one of the worst but Pickett, Rivers, Steele, Langford, Culley, Windsor should compete with most teams.

Why it’s so desperate for us to achieve success this year
confidence is such a key. Early last year our confidence went from high in round in 1 to completely shot by round 5/6. The gold coast game at the G we got spooked and couldnt pass 15 metres with no pressure. It was a team looking all over the place, like they'd never even trained together. Lets hope we dont hit those levels again.

2026 Injury List
agreed. comparatively there are a lot worse. we have to suck it up

MATCH SIM: Friday 6th February 2026
Yes its looking like we are developing more of the outside run, and more skill by foot. Remember though we do have Steele, Rivers, Langford, Culley who are bigger bodies while we wait for Viney to get fit. Down the track its easier to buy in an inside bullocking type than a classy outside runner. We have to back ourselves to develop Latrelle, Windsor, CJ, Taylor who can turn on the jets and break open the play.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 28th January 2026
to me the net loss in the midfield is petracca. I'd rather have Steele than Oliver, hes a better kick and a more reliable citizen. Viney not doing a preseason and sans Petracca will be our biggest issues coming into the new season.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 28th January 2026
Interesting. I tend to agree. im more in the 'he may or may not make it' category but maybe thats more wishful thinking. I would say he does have 'clever' attributes but it hasnt clicked at all for him as yet.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 28th January 2026
Never saw a problem with Levers speed, its an asset he has to intercept and close down entries. not sure who you are watching. He's not express but hes certainly not slow. post injury he certainly struggled late last year but that was understandable.

Every Team's Best Tackler
lets hope the saints stuffed up that call.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 21st January 2026
are we training at Gosch's tomorrow by chance. ? rare time i can go.

Aidan Johnson
I like him in the ruck, a real competitor, and some pace around the stoppages. But as a key forward he doesnt have enough tricks. decent depth I guess.

The Midfield - where do the Demons stand?
nothing to me suggests that. he had a full preseason, played a full season and was ordinary. lucky to get top 10 in the B and F.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Oliver was fantastic up to 2023 but his 7th place in this years B and F flattered his output I thought. and thats after a full preseason. That has to be a key reason most clubs had no interest in him.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Totally agree. Immature attitude to a club that gave him everything, including one of the biggest contracts in AFL history.
- Welcome to Demonland: Kalani White

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
thats a very strong recommendation by Taylor. Given the wraps how did he last till pick 30 ? Pickett and Dovaston were getting some write ups but why not this guy ? intriguing.

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
Jason Taylor might have a different view there. especially as we could have taken Dovaston instead of Pickett.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
disagree. he recovered from injury 2024 then had a full preseason, then played all year without major injuries, and was bog average in a lot of games. i thought his 7th placing in the B&F flattered him. you cannot convince me he prepared off field like he did prior to 2023. noone was going to pay anything decent to take him.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
gifted GC for Petracca ? you don t think they needed something back for 3 first rounders ? please.
-
Farewell Clayton Oliver
thats a good point. We would be well under our cap presently, so for next year it would be in our interests to rewrite our part of the contract to front load the payments to Oliver. which he would agree to. It may not be allowed though.
-
Farewell Clayton Oliver
paying half his salary hurts.
-
Farewell Christian Petracca
exactly. its as god a deal as we will get from any club. but we also cant keep him now. i believe his influence is too strong and we need to start afresh. He's no longer the A Grader we had so pick 7,8 would be a great result.

2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May
mixed bag this year. at times really good, but ive not seen him get torched by big forwards that often before. He's certainly lost a yard. It's time to start blooding Adams, and if Jefferson can develop push Petty back into the backline as well.
