PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 2nd February, 2024
2nd Melb preseason..you never know.. so letās see how much heās improved before we write him off. Lot of water /training etc has gone āunder the bridgeā since season 2023

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
You have completed misread my posts (as you are prone to do). The inference was we should have looked for a mature aged ruckman & hadnāt done that. My point was they would have done their due diligence on whoever was available & in the end Fullerton was the best available (in the clubās opinion ).

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
Thatās your opinion & taken into consideration he did retire ā¦my opinion is that ā he wasnāt quite up to itā. Not sure that if there was so much āgenuineā interest by different clubs & us..he either didnāt get an offer or the club (s) knew his knees werenāt up to it. Hardly think weād need another older player with dodgy knees.

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
So Melb did their due diligence & chose not to go down that path ..š¤

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
Is this the PA Scott Lycett whose 2023 season was wrecked with knee injuries forcing him to hang up his boots at the end of the season or is there another one ?

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
Interested who the experienced ruck back up that was available in the draft that we didnāt look at ?

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
Iām assuming you mean BB & TMac. If so (& Iām sure this has been said ad nauseum) they are premiership players & deserve to see out their contacts & more importantly for the club to honour them. I still think the JMac decision all those years ago broke our club at the time ā¦

PRACTICE MATCH: Sunday February 18th 2024 @ Casey Fields
Maybe because our preseason is effectively a week shorter ?

The year of the Dee
Which I think was my point & in both seasons we had massive disruptions to personnel in our forward line. Looks like we have addressed the personnel situation..just need them to fire

The year of the Dee
I really canāt understand these incredibly negative opinions. We only needed to score one more goal a game last season & we go to one of the top forward lines. A few tweaks to our forward delivery & more importantly keeping our forwards on the ground will make a massive difference to our team. Get consistency on the scoreboard & that will impact our whole team dynamic. Name one team we havenāt matched it with & have lost for any other reason than because of our āmuch publicised forward deficienciesā.

Salemās Long Journey Back
He basically detailed how 2 knee surgeries detailed his season in 2022 & then in 2023 the thyroid condition which led to (he believes) his knee surgery (a bit of cartilage chipped off due to the knee being weakened from lying on the couch for a month). Never got back his fitness. The thyroid issue sounded awful. This season already did an intense training session overseas with a lot of different athletes etc and feels he has that āzipā back. The last time he felt like this was in 2021. He sounded extremely positive.

2024 Preseason Camp in Lorne
Interesting comment ā¦I certainly knew as did friends who live in Lorne and went along. Canāt quite remember where I read/heard it but was on a social media format. Maybe on the Members forum where all the āheirarchy ā spoke ?

AFLW Sign, Draft and Trade Period 2023-24
Agree with all that but (personally) never had great confidence in her this season. Will be a very interesting draft ā¦I am sure they are cognitive of the same issues you have mentioned..

AFLW Sign, Draft and Trade Period 2023-24
Iām quite happy with the moving on of Libby Birch. Thought she was shown up by the big strong forwards especially against North in the finals. Just undersized. Ironically thatās where sheās heading ā¦

Max Promises Tough Love this Preseason
I thoroughly enjoyed his comments & at HIS B&F he is entitled to say what he felt & if you think we all have to be so politically correct⦠then maybe get over yourself. Itās supposed supporters like you who make such a big deal out of it.

King: Demons vs The World in 2024
Collingwood has used that mantra successfully for a very long time. Itās always been if you donāt ālove them ..you hate themā. & itās worked . You can see the adrenaline and never say die attitude the players have when they play in front of their rabid crowd. Thatās why we have to grow our supporter base & as Kate Roffey said ā become obnoxious supporters..not collingwood obnoxious but loud & proud!

Goody Saves a Life in Bali
Well every anti Melb story has been heavily embellished

Harrison Petty
Itās interesting Grundy got a monster deal by telling the Pies the fact that he was a SA boy ā¦he would want to go home . Fast forward a couple of years at the Pies he gets dropped to the twos & traded to us. He gets offers of 1st ruck at PA & Sydney. He goes to Syd further away from SA. Situations can always change !!

Steven May Hospitalised
I really hope you are one of the supporters that Kate Roffey mentioned in her brilliant speech. You know the one that has a membership (because the quicker we become a big club then we donāt have to travel to Geelong etc )ā¦the one who is an obnoxious supporter (but not Collingwood obnoxious) but makes a big noise at a game so that maybe we get the 50/50 free kick or is it just easier to hide behind a moniker & make quite dismissive comments about our club in general . Steven May spoke the absolute truth..he didnāt whinge..he didnāt sook ..we are a better team. Doesnāt always mean things fall your way. Of interest was the comments made by Roffey ..Goodwin..Gawn to name a few about āumpiring decisionsā..amazed you havenāt jumped on that yet

2023 GRAND FINAL
Their only ins Iād rate are Hill & as an ok McStay. Tom Mitchell did his part. Dunstan was ages ago.. Grundy protected Max ā¦ultimately didnāt work but 16 other teams would have grabbed him..Hunter was fine & yet to be seen with Schache. We just needed either one fit forward or Brayshaw & we would have been there yesterday. Brisbaneās flaws were there to see yesterday..slow ball movement..suspect defence & poor game planā¦kick it long to Joe. We get seduced with their form because of their success at their home ground which is a massive advantage..a bit like Geelong
