I was on the edge of my seat the whole game. We are undermanned so basically played contested footy as no way could we compete with them otherwise. Grit & determination and it got us 4 points ..sensational

Spot on …he is not the best public speaker …it’s a lot easier sitting behind a keyboard and typing away. He’s genuine ..he loves the club & the players & that was certainly reciprocated. In an expanded competition it’s so obvious the depth is not there. It will eventually get there but with the calibre of the players we have lost preseason and in season …these results are going to happen. As a positive lots of young players will get games …possibly before their time but it will show them what is needed to get to the level required. A bit like the men’s team ..play the kids ..get our injured players fit ..grab a high draft pick and maybe a softer draw and hit the next season running.

It’s interesting listening to Max on the podcast (the one mentioned on Demonland) re the rucks. He said that Oscar was one of the hardest ruckman to play against and that Bris had the best 2nd & 3rd back up rucks in the comp. He didn’t think the loss of Oscar would be a huge difference..

He didn’t choose us because ..firstly he wanted to play midfield and not the wing & secondly because he got ridiculous money which we didn’t offer. Ironically he had ended up playing half back for the Hawks & still getting massive &’s

Ginni should have posted his comments to Grundy privately but he chose (again) to make it all about him. You have Hinkley pulling Hore Francis off in a game when he was carrying on ..Adelaide dumping a player for being disrespectful but we’re all supposed to laud this Gen Z team of young Hawks and their disrespect. Tell me when Watson (refuse to call him the Wizard) or Ginini acknowledge their own players before they go to the crowd. Hinkley has been around footy a long time ..I believe his remark was probably quite calculated…he got on the front foot straight away at his Press Conference & whether you agree or not …90% of non Hawks supporters would have loved it. In the last few months Wright has left Collingwood after taking a sabbatical directly after the GF..one reason..Kelly.. there has been serious racial allegations against Kelly ..where has that disappeared too. Noble has asked for a trade (not expected by the Pies & a couple of their depth/young players are exploring their options. Now admittedly it’s not a Trac but we have 1 disgruntled player who unfortunately is a superstar & all of a sudden we’re a basket case. Oliver was last year & preseason ..have nothing but respect for how he’s handled himself this season. Maybe read the latest “bombshell “ where allegedly some Melb players were discussing Trac & called him weird and wondered how another club would deal with his “weirdness “. Good article by ex-swans player Ryan O’Keefe who requested a trade from the Swans which was denied. He went onto to win the Swans B&F the following year. Funny how an ex-player. Sydney great makes perfect sense yet we give these hacks like McClure “I honestly can’t see Carlton losing a match in the home & away season” & Morris “ I won’t be repeating his history of obnoxious comments” …air time. He can air all his grievances at a “grievance tribunal “ but the AFL are not going to acquiesce to his demand to only go to a big club nor would they countenance the MFC not getting the proper compensation. After all we would only be holding him to his contract if we don’t get adequate compensation.

I still remember his first interview on AFL 360 when Lachie Neale was on . He broke down but I felt then he was a bit lukewarm on the MFC. Have always wondered how he quickly fulfilled his media/tv commitments but never once shot out even a few words to the supporters. As I’ve stated before ..he’s obviously a sensational player but if the mental anguish he has been feeling is rivalling the physical trauma then who knows how he will be next year. We can’t fulfill the big club/big crowds ..Casey training grounds so if he wants to go let’s play absolute hard ball & set ourselves up. There is no way the club will be saying anything else but he’s here to stay etc because they will be aiming for the best deal going round.

I read Mark Robinson’s description of Kozzie’s actions on Friday night in The Tackle in the HS with some trepidation but to my surprise it was an extremely balanced & articulate statement. We absolutely must challenge this .
