It’s interesting Grundy got a monster deal by telling the Pies the fact that he was a SA boy …he would want to go home . Fast forward a couple of years at the Pies he gets dropped to the twos & traded to us. He gets offers of 1st ruck at PA & Sydney. He goes to Syd further away from SA. Situations can always change !!

I really hope you are one of the supporters that Kate Roffey mentioned in her brilliant speech. You know the one that has a membership (because the quicker we become a big club then we don’t have to travel to Geelong etc )…the one who is an obnoxious supporter (but not Collingwood obnoxious) but makes a big noise at a game so that maybe we get the 50/50 free kick or is it just easier to hide behind a moniker & make quite dismissive comments about our club in general . Steven May spoke the absolute truth..he didn’t whinge..he didn’t sook ..we are a better team. Doesn’t always mean things fall your way. Of interest was the comments made by Roffey ..Goodwin..Gawn to name a few about “umpiring decisions”..amazed you haven’t jumped on that yet

Their only ins I’d rate are Hill & as an ok McStay. Tom Mitchell did his part. Dunstan was ages ago.. Grundy protected Max …ultimately didn’t work but 16 other teams would have grabbed him..Hunter was fine & yet to be seen with Schache. We just needed either one fit forward or Brayshaw & we would have been there yesterday. Brisbane’s flaws were there to see yesterday..slow ball movement..suspect defence & poor game plan…kick it long to Joe. We get seduced with their form because of their success at their home ground which is a massive advantage..a bit like Geelong

Absolutely agree. Theatre by the AFL but he was never going to be found guilty. It was a weak effort by Woods backed up by Gleeson. They quite frankly want Collingwood in the GF .

I’m in the same situation however my partner is wise enough to say nothing & also loathes Cox & Ginnivan. However I won’t attend another game unless we’re in the GF with them. And we never go together!!

JVR had eyes for the ball..not the player & the player proceeded to play the game out. Maynard had eyes for Brayshaw..the ball had left his hands and he chose to turn his shoulder & he collected him ..shoulder to head. He also left the ground. He also publicly stated he was going to go in hard. He took out one of our best midfielders and completely changed the way we had to play our game especially with the use of Trac. Laurie is also a half forward not a midfielder. I have no problem having a lifetime grudge against him & very easy to extend the same courtesy to the entire club. Don’t even get me started on Mason Cox & the rockstar applause when Ginnivan came on. Noble would be justifiably aggrieved with his omission …

Who are their 4 tall forwards ? McStay …yes ..Cox as a resting ruckman ..Miochec same height as Hibberd & Rivers & if Howe plays forward on Lever well good luck to him …his form has been very average . Who else am I missing ?

That was an awesome game . Listened to Libby birch before the game she said (paraphrasing) that it would be close but we’d run over them in the last qrt. (Sound familiar) However she didn’t predict the overwhelming effort in the second half. Great enjoyable footy to watch !!
