  1. It’s the unknown isn’t it. We have no idea if the current AFL top midfielders will perform as they have ..we have no idea who will break out at each club & who will drop off. We are firmly in the “unknown”. With a lot of new high end talent & new “established older “ talent … Kingy’s job is to blend them in with our existing team & really who knows. This is what I am most excited for ..none of us will know how it comes together till the season proper. Right now we are one of 18 teams aspiring to make finals & we can be assured that will be the mindset of coaches & players & hopefully supporters .
  2. One thing I have enjoyed is more positive media and not the relentless “bagging” we endured over the preseasons..mainly referencing Oliver. As a supporter you were generally disillusioned by the time the season started…it was relentless. It was time for him & Melb to part ways (which incidentally he has stated in today’s newspaper article). I hope he turns his life around and wish him well ..Trac on the other hand …..
  3. Well I will respectfully disagree. After a conversation with an ex footballer ( who had a Lisfranc ) he explained the healing process you go through ..lot of work on balance..wobble boards etc but guess what “kicking” is not part of that process. According to him it’s a massive advantage when you’re not loading your foot with a heavy football. I’m def no expert but commonsense dictates that would be quite an obvious observation.
  4. 4 of us will def be there ..accom already booked but agree that a Sat or Sunday would have been so much better. Apparently we’re a very popular choice for Sunday games in season proper but score a Friday in the pre season , Go figure ..
  5. If there is any positive in this injury is that it was his left foot & he is a right footer. It won’t change the healing time but his kicking shouldn’t be impeded when he does come back.
  6. Well thank goodness you have put ..”the world to rights”, Nothing like a good dose of pessimism to suck the energy out of the optimism of our pre season track watchers
  7. Guerra …went right instead of left
  8. Pretty sure it’s why he was so emotional in our 2 finals. My thoughts are Geelong. Like the men it will be good to have a change whilst acknowledging everything he did. It would be good to see Shae Sloane get a crack
  9. I’m with you …we were incredibly outnumbered…the roars & booing from the Nth Supporters ..it was ear splitting
  10. I’m sorry …we could debate this for eternity but they are the Melbourne AFLW demons not the Casey Demons & if Nth ( not Blues..Pies..ESS ..Tigers) can get 6000..we can surely do better …
  11. It was in a central city area …no excuse
  12. That was an incredibly exciting game. Took a special effort from Garner in the last qrt to get them over the line. I dare say if we had Purcell in the middle the result could have been different. Massive Nth crowd would have def helped. Our girls will be right in it next year & let’s hope we get more supporters along. So proud of them …
  13. See you there ❤️💙
  14. Thomas Matthew’s …small forward
  15. Whoever we pick will be someone who can play a couple of positions. King has stated he will not pick anyone who can only play one position…
  16. Glad you’ve got time on your hands 😊
  17. Find it grossly unfair judging anybody on what other people do or say . None of us know him (other than the footy field) ..don’t know what’s happening in his world. Let’s just judge on what happens this year.
  18. So happy with this pick. Was hoping we would pull a sneaky & draft him. It’s absolutely a win/win for the club. So exciting
  19. GC just gave us 3 first rounders for a 30yr old Trac. Granted his playing abilities are better than Steele but we have still seen the best of him. What Steele offers in bucketloads (& that doesn’t decrease with age) is leadership which is paramount with a developing midfield & you can be sure he will have a burning ambition to “shove it” right up Lyon
  20. I am actually In Adelaide ..Clare Valley who incidentally are the Demons. So proud of the girls ..see you at Ikon next week 👏🏻❤️💙
  21. Loved the podcast ..not so much the pessimism from George but we can’t all be “Happy Clappers”. However it will be exciting to see what happens on draft night & also preseason. Also liked the format of summarising the questions & answering them as a whole. Hope that continues in the next year of podcasts.
  22. Very happy with the results . You could fill the previous forums with the criticism of Clarry ..Trac..Goodwin etc . Now we have a new coach …got rid of 2 former greats but not so great now players & bought in a whole raft of players that I am so excited to see what they bring. I’m saving any criticism till we!re well into next season. We got change in a huge way so put aside the negativity & let’s see what 2026 brings ..Go Dees
  23. I think the MFC has given Clarry “lots of chances”. What Company anywhere would pay a million dollar plus salary for a $ 600.00 output ( & that’s probably generous) for 2 years. Do you really think we can pay that huge salary again in the hope he turns it around. I prefer to remember the great years he gave us & what he bought us & I will always wish the best for him but it’s time.
  24. Why ?Tracc wants to leave so I guess GC has to stump up his value. If they don’t ..then it’s more Tracc who has “egg on his face.”
  25. & the club sure as hell aren’t going to give the truth about what has gone on from some players either (& nor should they). The club put multiple different offers to Judd over 18months so says to me ..he was always going to go ..
