  1. Different final numbers (and positions, Tommy!) from Rounds 1-23, so finals included, evidently. Trac closed on Clarry, and Nibbler's finals were good. Tough on Ed.
  2. @Brenno, I was halfway through answering when umpteen other, multifinger, typers answered you. Sorry!
  3. If he had an ultra consistent season, a player at 11th - on say 340 votes - might have got 15 votes a game, which is 3 4s and a 3, i.e. a 7th/8th best each week. So Gus might have a bit more love than his position suggests? All theoretical, but.
  4. Rather off topic but it is a Max thread... Our Captain is a master of understatement. In his 2021 diary, his caption for Tom Sparrow's kick for goal in 'that 32 seconds' is "Tom Sparrow gets the ball away". And for Clayton Oliver's post-goal glory arc it's "Clayton Oliver celebrates a goal". LOL. Really.
  5. I hope you guys, and everyone else on here, actually hang on well beyond the due date for that (last day of September, 2025), but a 4peat would put the C'ood'nt's record to the sword...well, to the dagger at least. If they'd played 1930 under the current, longstanding grand final arrangements, Geelong would have been premiers. So, a pure, 21st century, 4peat will trump the dodgy early 20th century one!
  6. ..and didn't he like being 'on the spot' with Tom Sparrow after his goal, rjay! Indeed it does, DS! Good spotting👍 Conca cheaper than Byrnes, then? If so, an even better get!😉 Ah ha!👍
  7. Reporting to Mark Williams? Sourced by him too? What do we think?
  8. A 10-year career, Paulo, and it'll be a challenge for you, let alone the rest of us, to remember the call! Nice if it eventuates though. As would be a strong start towards it this season 🙂
  9. Don't try to walk and chew gum at the same time! Carrying one in each hand provides for much better balance!😁 p.s. My house-front display came down earlier this week. For 9 months' gestation before they reappear...
  10. I've found I'm getting a bit of "I'm not a Dees supporter but I know someone who is" and "I'm not a Dees supporter but my [insert family member] is". 'Tis a Tardis-like bandwagon😄
  11. Got about half a doz pages to catch up on and 👍 and 😄 but in the interim wanted to post about an odd feeling triggered by re-viewing (many times!) the boys on the podium. Very hard to explain but, at that point, the red and blue colours I've followed all my now-longish life, suddenly appeared surreally new to me, almost 'parallel-universe' to those familiar hues and familiar combination. In trying to understand this, some things that occur to me are that 1. the last time we were so successful, such images were in black and white, 2. the colours have never been 'showered' in the confetti era, and 3. seeing the team in the all-blue-and-red, traditionally-patterned, strip is actually quite rare these days. Anyone else identify with this (as far as they can understand me!)?
  12. Looks like Bailey has had a post-Grannie growth spurt. Needs body to catch up. 😁
  13. Article refers to commencement on weekend of 26-27 March? Hope it's a Casey home game!
  14. Apologies for the brief appropriation of your thread, @Webber - and it's unfolding revelation of your talents - but the juxtaposition of paint and the above was irresistible. Just been into my local outlet, replenishing my sponsor's product ($$ and counting!) and noticed how well they are on our wavelength!...
  15. "Round 3, pick number 57 Melbourne (received from Western Bulldogs in 2020)" Couple of nice symmetries right there.
  16. Perhaps not an original observation (150+ posts 'n all) but... How very nice to have 21 to choose from 🤤
  17. Western. We like 'Western' now...
  18. 'Tis a significant week ahead, folks; Tuesday will be 57 days from #13@25/9. Time to furl all those flags? Yeah. Nah.
  19. There's a YouTube item titled 'GF | Young Guns', another nice snippet of #13. But no Harry Petty! Maybe - mo n hairline n all - he doesn't look young, but tut!tut! Or Jakey? TUT!TUT!
  20. Happy for a tie with Ben. Even a three-way with Tom.
  21. @dieter - Das ist gut, mein herr!
  22. Group thank you to all posters, for the thorough coverage of why, and how much, we should appreciate M. Gawn 🙏
  23. In multiple choice, always pick C.
  24. Good point. And "on the road": In the hands of Megan, Simon, et al, read "dropped"?
