  1. With @M_9's response above, this reaction is understandable. But it's a big consequence, and one on which both club and player are, for the moment, staying quietly inactive. So, while I'm very confident that I heard that information, from one of those sources, I'd really appreciate hearing that someone else did, too!
  2. Ah, yes. When I looked again I went 'Grrr'.
  3. That shocked emoji (it just beat the laugh emoji) was to ensure my bona fides on here were preserved, BBO. Anyways, there's only room on here for one dilettante ๐Ÿ˜„
  4. It won't be surprising if someone comes away from Thursday with reason to miss a game or two but, of course, hopefully not. if not, we are just that game away from having a fully available list, in an incredibly stable, only Daisy-less, team. Remarkable.
  5. Someone authoritative - himself, his partner or club staff - referred to it as 'bone on bone'. Anyone on here with 'gnosis' (๐Ÿ˜) care to try a diagnosis and prognosis?
  6. In danger of this thread slipping into Trump presidency contemplation, od! Oh.
  7. Never mind moving Kozzy there; from that GF clip, put Nick there!
  8. Im very pleased for you, Viper. You're in for a treat, even if the result doesn't go our way (wash my mouth out!) Do some barracking for me, then, you and the offspring, while I'm laid up here on the other side of the planet.
  9. It's easier for the mob to coordinate than 'Chewie on yer boot'?
  10. Great get, George! Did you remember it was there, or are you a dedicated (obsessive?) researcher? Calling @deegirl, your answer is served!
  11. 2021 still makes me happy (1 ha'penny) Watching the girls makes me happy (1 ha'penny) We were reigning premiers in all 3 'divisions' at some stage during 2022 (1 ha'penny) We've got to be heavily interested in finals in 4 (nearly 5) of the last 6 years (1 ha'penny) Do you need a receipt?
  12. OK, so now I'm intrigued as to your collector interests. Milo tins don't pin this down much!
  13. Is that a display cupboard or your pantry?!
  14. Andrew Dillon and (hopefully) a new chairman, time to make your marks: Brownlow to be moved from umpires. To, say, the coaches' votes (with voting rules and eligibility to retain the 'Fairest' priority)
  15. And now we resume normal transmission. You know; trade talk n stuff. And - the new normal - THE WOMEN!
  16. But hopefully an omen for Saturday 'Collingwood' falters in the last, to be run over by 'Brisbane'
  17. Could it have been something like this? It's a sweet victory, men cos we've done them again Those boys in the black and the white Oh they thought they could But they're just Collingwood With nothing to offer but sh*te
  18. ...except they did (I was between 2) so there's porkies, right there! I did notice the one in your ears as I came in. Commiserations! Sun. Speakers. All senses assaulted, eh? I trust the smells were acceptable. I noted the coffee van was nearby...
  19. I presume that was an autocorrect (which autocorrect wanted to make 'autocorrelation', btw!!) of 'MFCSS', Jib? That you meant what it appears to say is too horrible to contemplate!
  20. Timely and affirming, @Demonland and @58er!
  21. I'll have six penn'orth of each, please, Sir.
  22. All of the above. Here's my obs, fwiw. Definitely up to the mark for AFLW games. I might check out a Casey game there now; I suspect it's good for VFL, too. No AFL scope, though. The grass looks (and feels) like Casey, almost carpet-like. It's extraordinary that such large areas can be kept in such condition. Casey has come on quite a bit since Melbourne's first games there, iirc. I noted elsewhere Eliza McNamara, post-match, pointing out the narrow wings, the consequent issues, and how they dealt with them, and my observation the experience might help them with KP on Thursday. The pockets there are deeper, for the width, though, I think? Frankston is more a true oval, squeezed. I'm not sure pockets are such a problem, though, for 16-a-side and the AFLW game style. Frankston's flatter than Casey, too, so, with the narrowness, it's easier to see the action on the far side. I watched from the south wing for 3 quarters then the beach end in the last. Tough the sunset reflected off the northern stand windows, while magic, was a brief viewing challenge! Off field, the facilities were more community market style, with multiple food van offerings and kids activities, at the beach end. So, a somewhat more community experience and atmosphere than Casey. Street parking proved OK, after a bit of a drive-around. There's no 'broad-acre' car parking ร  la Casey. I could have done without the PA'd calls to 'Make some noise, Hawks fans!' And they really didn't.
  23. Sorry, IRW; it did sound like I was mounting an argument. But, as 'Mad As Hell' (aren't we all?!) character Chris Lorax would say, it was 'Just a bit of fun...' Missed the mark, obviously. And anyway, embarrassingly, I think I did get my facts wrong: was it Collingwood and Carlton only we and Essendon beat? Nice to be considered childish, though, approaching the big Seven-O! (see, I can't help myself๐Ÿ˜)
  24. Just us and Essendon, who beat us. Go figure. And yes, we did. But I'm hoping to enjoy 2024 on its merits, not with baggage. And meanwhile we've got this: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1436492/aflw-team-song-melbourne?videoId=1436492&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1695373342001
