I like many hope frosty can make it as a backman. But I just don't see him locking down that role in 3-4 weeks time. I hope I'm wrong, but he still strikes me as a project player who is likely to get games at the end of the year when playing finals has been ruled out.

Stretch was sublime. Would be hard to look past him. Trac was great but the edge to Stretchy this round.

Wow, O'Rourke crossing from gws to Hawthorn has done wonders for his career. I hope he is enjoying the noodle box at Box Hill.... We may have burnt a pick selecting Toumpas at 4, but O'Rourke has to be the biggest bust of the 2012 draft.

Just on this particular draft, i believe we parted with a pick in the 20s and 70s and received a pick back in the 50s to get the deal to work. With pick 57 in the 2013 draft we selected Hunt. Barrett can bang on all we wants but that 2013 draft has really bolstered our talent pool. Kelly looks great, but i like what the club did and still defend the trade.

Great reward for Harmes. His run of game last season gave us a glimmer of hope he might be a player. This season he has taken another step and now looks like part of the future plans.

Just good list management. The dees are identifying who will be a part of their future and locking them up. Can't recall a first year player getting an extension this early. He is that good!

I was surprised we gave up this year's first round pick last season, having seen what Oliver and weed have produced so far it looks like a great move. Weed could even crack the team by June at this rate.

I think Sam Reid is one of those guys who never really took the next step. Consistent, but consistently average. You wonder if he would have developed more at a lower club or whether him being at the Swans makes him look better than he actually is. He isn't someone I would be rushing to sign.

He isn't close to his ceiling yet in terms of development. I still think his is ahead of any other options we have off half back. I rate him, but like many are waiting for that big game where he just uses his skills and takes control of the game. He will get there.

This post won't win me any love around here, and I hate to play devils advocate, but Nev has had concussion problems and is only a string of bad knocks away from walking away from the game. One last big pay day from a rival club could set him up in case his career is cut short due to concussions. He is in our top 10 and is irreplaceable. One of my favourites. Just don't underestimate the impact his injury history will have on his decision making. He has kids, and 50k extra pa over a few years will be important to him and his family.

Jetta is out for one week, and Bernie is all good. I think 3 changes: Out: Jetta, Garland, Michie In: Nibbler, H, Trenners You could build a case to drop 6 after last week, i just don't think it will happen. Nibbler and Trenners have been very consistent in the twos.

Hogan won't be a free agent, so has to risk going through the draft or be traded. By the end of next year we will be playing finals footy. Pretty sure he will be swayed to stay if he is serious about a flag. IMHO GWS and doggies are the only lists in the comp with better youth coming through. We would have more cap space than both of those teams. If he wants success he stays a demon.

More worried about Bont. Stringer can go missing, Bont is damaging everywhere.

Poor bloke. He got injured at a really bad time. I imagine this team will be even harder to get into in a months time. He could bolster the scorps in the meantime.

Yes, but when the draw came out many thought Richmond and collingwood were potential top 8 teams. There was also talk of the gcs playing finals. Looks like we played those teams at the right time. Those sides have fallen well short of expectations.
