Had my dees scarf on at work yesterday and a passer by struck up some conversation with me. Said the dees are one of his favourite teams to watch when his team (Geelong) isn't playing. Exciting brand of footy when it works. If the media aren't noticing us, other fans are!

Good umpires should never be noticed. A good game is a game where you don't notice their impact. I felt their impact twice last round. Not good viewing!

If Prestia goes he could get big bucks at a club like Richmond. I love the optimism that he wants to play for the dees but we don't have a heap of cap room until we know what Hogan is doing.

Oliver is a ripper. I doubt anyone on draft night thought he would be keeping brayshaw out of the squad this season. All of the "draft experts" who thought we grabbed him too early look a tad foolish.

I wonder what Kane Cornes is up to since finishing up his footy at the end of 2015. He made a career out of having a brilliant football IQ. Also has coaching in the veigns. I wonder if he looks at leaving the SA for an afl gig

If we beat hawthorn I wouldn't care if we played finals..... Building credibility is what counts.

He is the biggest reason we have taken the next step as a team. Take nothing away from other players but gawnys form has helped us in more ways than any other player.

Watched the game. Trac heated up as the game went on. He is getting used to the game and looks like he will progress as the season wears on. It won't be long before opposition supporters start talking about him as the next big thing.

Geez hunt has wheels!! Main difference i see from speedsters in years gone by is that hunt can take a contested mark and is not afraid to try and win the footy. His ceiling is unknown. Should be interesting to see how far he can develop.

I hate most clubs, but I hope for the games sake no other club has to suffer a 10 year rebuild like we have. It has been beyond painful to watch.

Hurley will cost all the tea in China. There will be a dozen clubs throwing cash at him. I don't mind Hurley, but with a dozen of our own out of contract I think cap space needs to be used wisely to maintain list balance.

The bandwagon was getting pretty full for the tigers. I think they start to slide backwards, and are heading towards a rebuild through the draft whether they like it or not.

I can't say with any confidence that he will make a difference. Dawes has shown glimpses here and there, but he is often banged up or injured. Fully fit and firing he would help us. I just don't think his body can do what he needs it to do anymore. We need to build a new cog into the machine. I think the weed is the new cog.

Gave Lumumba a bath. Tmac wasn't much better on him. We will beat the saints when he finally retires.

I only watched the first half, from the sounds of things it was the second half where things got ugly. I'm not sure who gets dropped, but a loss like that prompts 3-4 changes.

Funny you should mention that. I scrolled over saintsational the other day because they have a petracca thread going. It is rumoured he did fail his psych at the saints, and found him to be overly confident and brash. Pretty sure barassi would have also failed such tests.....

Jeffy is key to us pushing ahead and playing finals footy. At 26 years of age he could be looking for a 4 year deal. Worth every penny right now. What is interesting is that we have 12 players out of contract. Obviously some of these form the natural attrition required to free up spots for the draft. But tmac, garlett, kent, watts, jetta and even pedo are currently best 22. Trenners could also get back in there. The dees have some work to do and it starts with Jeffy.

Anyone else think Oliver was stiff to miss? Rested, and his spot is gone. I knew Matt Jones would struggle to get back in after being rested for general soreness but Oliver hasn't put a foot wrong yet and has been our best tackler.
