Majak has an agreement with North to be rookie listed, so unless someone really wants him he is likely to stay at North. Gorringe hasn't made the most of his opportunities. To think GCS were happy to cut him with their current ruck stocks is quite a statement. Don't know much about the other rucks, but I'm happy to rookie a project type like king and see what we can develop them in to. King still looms as a likely ruck candidate for us in 24 months time.

Glad to see some faith showed in Harmes, he did enough to earn the one year extension.
-
I think Jkh possesses some nice skills, but like many have pointed out he does have his limitations. When players like Harmes, Vanders start getting games ahead of you off the rookie list you have to wonder where you fit. I don't see Jkh fitting in as a mid, and as a forward I think a few have lept ahead of him in the depth chart. Good small defenders don't grow on trees, so if he could be coached to play like jetta then he could revive his career as a backman like some have suggested. If he doesn't crack the side for at least 5 games in 2016, I think club and player will part ways.

Frost is one to be watched in 2016. If he can nail down that backup ruck/forward role it could spell trouble for Dawes and Pedo. I can't see one team consisting of all 3 of Dawes, frost and Pedo unless hogan or tmac are on the shelf. Not much love for trenners. It has been forever since he was fit and firing, but if he is fit then he is in our best 22.

Grant played 13 games this season in a good side and was shown the door. Someone will give him a run, possibly Carlton as a DFA. Moore is an interesting one. Potential rookie list candidate?
-
Just really disappointing to read yet another type of incident like this.
-
With only 4 spots left on the 40 man roster you would think delisted free agents will be overlooked. If Harmes can stay on the rookie list I think he will.
-
I think we will nominate Mills at 3. Interesting though that it only leaves them with 322. If Dunkley nominates as father son, and is touted to go in the top 25, will Sydney go into deficit for taking Dunkley early second round?
-
Be amusing if he was a run with shut down type player. The Herald sun would have a field day. "Dydymus Blankets Selwood in dees rout" No nothing about him, but academy players seem to find their way onto AFL lists, so I'm assuming we will be hearing his name again.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOEL SMITH
Adzman replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting signing. I know nothing at all about him! I will be down at Casey so I will see how he develops next season. -
B for me. Next year's draft is supposed to be a bumper crop, and our list tells us we are a bottom 10 club so our first rounder has some currency attached to it. Aside from that the Demons trading was aggressive, well targeted and thought out. Howe and Toumpas are replaceable, regardless of their talent.

Cubbies are cooked. Looking like a Jays v mets world series.

Hello Demonland! If anyone is interested in playing NBA fantasy this year I have got the commissioner to open the league up publicly for the first time. It is a points league that is head to head, so similar scoring to AFL supercoach leagues. All skill sets welcome, the only rule is you must manage your team start to finish. If anyone is keen Pm me. Live online draft is this Sunday.

Curnow at #7 would be great, but I don't think he slips pass Essendon at #5. I hope I'm wrong.
-
Hawks would be a good place for him. Glad he will get a second chance!
-
Would be happy with Parish at #3, provided he gets a haircut... I remember early draft talk about Rhys Mathieson being a top 5 pick early in the year. He hasn't been mentioned much since. What happened to him?? He was supposed to be a good midfield prospect.
-
Honestly it is a lottery. Being at the pointy end of the draft helps, but their are never any guarantees. I think a good football department is where you can cut out some guesswork and risk. Until recently we haven't had this. The true value of picks is getting as even return as possible on your picks. We haven't managed to do this in recent years. Cool thread, I look forward to seeing some charts and stats around this topic.
-
I was surprised Zac was dealt for so little. He is a handy ruck. Geelong are killing trade week, the dees look rather incompetent at the trade table in comparison.
-
Toumpas needed a fresh start, and this will likely kick start his career. I wish him well. We got it wrong at pick 4, now we move on. Good luck to him.
-
Stevie J has 12-24 months of average footy left, and isn't going to help build a premiership team. We need to make smart investments, Stevie J isn't one.
-
Good luck to him at the filth. You could argue he was forced out the door but his demeanour all this year and Collingwood press conference suggests he wanted out. Wish him well, we need to move on and find that winning formula without him.
-
At this point we can now safely say we won't be getting an A grader through the trade period. Howe, Toumpas going out and Kennedy and Melksham coming in doesn't amount to much. Adding Bugg isn't doing much either.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Adzman replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Let's hope this Collingwood castaway improves with a change of scenery.......the other two certainly haven't! You could argue a case that Dawes and Lumumba have gone backwards. Welcome Ben. I hope you make this deal look terrific for us. -
Tebow was never going to make it in the Nfl. Florida ran a very college like offense that isn't seen in the nfl. Also he had a fantastic offensive line in college. Completely different player To RG3, who was drawing comparisons to warren moon in the lead up to draft night. The rams simply couldn't afford to draft another QB because at the time they were still trying to justify the Sam Bradford selection by keeping him as their guy (another QB decimated by injuries and a questionable offensive line) The Rams made a sensible trade based on their needs, but if they didn't have Bradford they would have taken RG3. I fail to see how an injuries to top picks after they have been selected as a pro bowl QB classify as a bust.RG3 goes down as a "what could have been" if his knees weren't absolutely destroyed. A real shame, regardless of your feelings towards Washington (I don't like them either for the record) RG3 still has a career passing rating of 91.4, sure it's not Tom Brady like (96) but RG3 sits higher than Brett Favre (86) who was a legend of the game. RG3 could flat out play before getting hurt.
-
You have to be kidding me with this! His rookie season was impressive and was a sight to behold. He was a heisman trophy winner in college and was named pro ball and offensive rookie of the year in his first season. RG3 was a lock to be a qb1 anywhere in the league. He is now broken down due to some unfortunate injuries, but was always worth trading up for on draft night. You want a real QB bust? JaMarcus Russell really gives you nightmares!
