  1. Ahhhh good point. It's probably a 50/50 that Maginness isn't bid on by pick 11. This now makes a lot more sense.
  2. Yeah I agree. Not sure how that gets done. Time will tell. Happy to take pick 3 to the draft but also would be over the moon to split and have two picks in the top 15.
  3. Agree. It would probably be something like 3 & 50 for 6 & 11, as GWS would need some additional points. But that would be a great draft hand to go 6, 11 & 26 at the draft.
  4. How are GWS getting 11? Currently held by Hawthorn....
  5. I think we have left the ball in GWS court here. We would've said to them this is what we want for pick 3, take it or leave it. It's in their best interest to get to pick 3 and not ours to trade it, we hold the upper hand here and I think we are going to get a very nice deal coming through.
  6. I saw a report Tom Phillips is also on the table... Wish we got him instead of Tomlinson
  7. I really like Gunston as a player, well love to hate him and appreciate his talent. But is he really what we need? Fritsch, McDonald, Melksham or play a similar role. In my mind we need a full forward who can split packs and allow McDonald to play 2nd tall and Weid third.
  8. From what I've seen of him, he is not in your Josh Kelly league of kicking skills, but is fairly reliable other than the odd shocker. I think his biggest asset is consistency, plus the fact he is only 23 so he still has upside.
  9. What's this got to do with GWS though?
  10. I'd be saying we need pick 6 & another within top 15 or no deal. Or alternatively 6 and Caldwell or Hateley. They need pick 3, we don't need to trade it.
  11. I do like that we are backing ourselves in here....
  12. This is why you don't go early on the one Frost trade. I think we still have a few things to do pick wise and have a feeling we are after 2 top 15 picks. That is why we didn't want the late picks this year.
  13. We have the upper hand here. Make GWS pay big!
  14. It's a salary dump by GWS. They have an abundance of young talent and even more to come through their academy. They didn't need either, so the Hawks take on their salaries and get to give up very little in picks. For what it's worth, Patton is around a B- level of player, if that so I'm not too fussed.
  15. I wouldn't be going after Hill with Langdon on the way. Seriously, you go through the stats and Langdon is equal, if not even superior to Hill. He's not as easy on the eye, but that would probably be why he is cheaper, substance over style in my mind. Below is a summary of the two from last season:
  16. Surely we have some sort of deal already worked out with GWS, otherwise what was the point of them moving down to pick 6.
  17. Would rather get Caldwell..... not sure if Bonar is really what we need?
  18. What about 3 for 6 and a player... with some change back
  19. Over his career he's kicked 83. 74 at 52.87%. AFL season average for 2019 was 45.8%, so he's above average but not fantastic.
  20. If anyone has access to Herald Sun I'd be interested to see his assessment from 2018....
  21. I posted on one of the FB pages re this, and while I agree with his summary based on last season, he said similar things regarding the Richmond season in 2016 and also said they can't win a premiership with that list. I'm fairly sure this time last year Buckenara was praising our list.... it's very easy to just write things based on one season.
  22. Not sure where to put this.... but surely Dwayne has lost his mind?
