  1. Neeld would be proud...... hardest team to play against! We did it Mark, we did it.
  2. I think we should go like for like. Therefore, barring no other injuries I'd like to see the following based on recent VFL reports: In: Wagner & Kennedy Out: Salem & Garlett Kennedy always seems to be high in pressure acts judging by the comments and I think this will be important against the Swans. Wagner had a slow start to the season but I think his best is very good. Not in the same class as Salem but a very capable replacement. I'd start Tmac forward and Frost on Buddy. However, I'd be willing to move Omac forward and Tmac back if Buddy was getting on top. Though it will take a team effort to stop his output. B: Jetta OMac Hibberd HB: Lewis Frost Hunt C: Vince Oliver Stretch HF: Petracca TMac ANB F: Kennedy Pederson Hannan R: Gawn Tyson Viney Int: Harmes Wagner Melksham Bugg Still a good enough side to beat the Swans, but it will be tough with consecutive short breaks. I'm tipping Swans by 10 points but I'm confident with the sides new found ability to dig deep we could steal another win here.
  3. The MRP F'd up here. They should've offered him one week, downgraded to a fine with an early guilty plea. Would've appeased all parties, the ones who think that any intentional hit to the head shouldn't be allowed and the ones who think it was only a small hit.
  4. The Eagles are classless. Dirty club with dirty supporters. Hope he gets two for being a tw*t
  5. That would be great if he gets two weeks. I don't like the MRP, but I've got a feeling they don't like being challenged and will stand by their decision. The fact is he definitely caught him with an elbow to the face. The level of impact is obviously debatable, but they graded it as low impact anyway. I'm loving all these Eagles fans crying foul about staging when their players are one of the worst offenders.
  6. Simpson's comment shows the difference in class between him and Goodwin. When Hogan got rubbed out because of the Carlton Dr's report of a delayed concussion he didn't get involved. The silver lining in all this is that I expect a fired up Clarry against the Swans. 35 touches coming up.
  7. I don't recall him 'diving' against North? He copped a hit to the throat from Higgins which really should've been a free kick.
  8. Apparently Garry Lyon was saying Clarry should get a $5,000 fine! He is such an attention seeking [censored]. Tim Watson actually disagreed and said he definitely got him on the chin
  9. He is rough around the edges but I think he is starting to iron out the majority of his poor choices that plagued him last year and early this year. Still makes a few errors with his kicking, but the stuff he does well outweighs this. I love his attack on the ball and man, and he is a very powerful player, We have an incredibly powerful side with Viney, Petracca, Oliver, Harmes, Jones & Hunt all very strong players.
  10. If you watch it in slow motion it does look delayed... because it is. Watch it in normal time and it's a quick elbow jab to the chin, Oliver's head jolt's back slightly and he falls immediately. I've seen UFC players knocked out cold with a punch not much more to the chin. If you get someone in the right spot it isn't the original hit that gets you, it's the jolting of the head and movement of the brain. What Lewis did to Cripps was pretty much identical to that so should get a week.
  11. Frees 23-15. God I hate WA! and I was born and grew up there!
  12. Where the f**k was Gawn? He should be on the line to stop that kick!
  13. That video is so inspiring. I really love Jones and have so much respect for him as a Melbourne player and person. No matter what happens, he will go down as a Melbourne great and will be forever remembered that way.
  14. I couldn't find the exact link. But in my searches I found the below link which I found interesting regarding a Dentist who invented a mouthguard which can help reduce concussions in certain instances. While I'm sure they would need to do long term tests, I would hope the club is exploring the different options available for Gus. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/300909-nfl-congressional-testimony-to-include-published-mouth-guard-data
  15. It's not like he is 26 or 27. Gus is 21 years old? It depends what type of first rounder you were offered. If it was a pick inside the top 5 then you would have to look at it. Anything outside of that then I'd be wary of doing the trade.
  16. Nev Jetta had a lot of concussion issues and seems to have overcome them. And he crashes as much as the best of them! I was reading an article about concussions which suggested younger people were generally more susceptible. Hoping as he matures it becomes less of an issue. Time will tell though.
  17. I highly doubt the club will be trading Brayshaw unless he wants to leave. He is the perfect replacement for Vince, who will likely be finishing up at the end of next season.
  18. First it was politicians. Now it is sporting CEOs.
  19. I don't really like it. But if it helps our younger guys (plus the oldies), then that is great. I think if your a top 4 side who wins week one you should really look at how you train that week off. I'd probably go down the path of doing a high intensity training session a week before or something like that. It just seems being match hardened can be a big benefit.
  20. Storm. Tea cup. Loved it. Imagine having players with personality? What is the world coming too.
