POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
We have now lost 4 games in the wet and one of the issues is we have a lot of below average skilled players and these guys are found out in bad conditions. ANB, Langdon, Hunter, Trac, Viney (loved his game but still terrible skills), Pickett (he is highly skilled but wtf was that). I am so frustrated watching this side, it is just the worst gamestyle to watch.

Targets 2023
Realistically, what tall forward options are there available? Himmelberg & Georgiades? Neither are really a big key forward and play more the 2nd or third tall, maybe less so Himmelberg.

I was impressed with him from what I watched of Casey on the weekend. Think he will be a player.

Gawn Main Ruck, Grundy Up Forward?
Interesting this has come up after a game in the wet, when I thought they dominated the game v Collingwood and were a key part of the reason we won. Definitely not worried about this, but I do believe Max is a better option both forward and behind the ball rather than in the centre square.

In regards to team changes I think we need to look at the following: - Bowey to come back in to improve foot skills out of the backline - Salem & Kozzy to spend a bit more time through the middle to improve our kicking inside forward (why did we stop using Kozzy there?) - Oliver hopefully back and chomping at the bit - Gawn to play 70% forward/back and Grundy to ruck the majority of the game (Gawn is a much better mark around the ground and forward and Grundy is better in centre bounces with his mobility and ground work) - I would say Petty forward and Tommo back but hard to drop Smith after last week.... though not sure why we dropped Tommo either so who f'ing knows B: Bowey May Lever HB: Salem Petty McVee C: Langdon Oliver Hunter HF: ANB van Rooyen Pickett F: Fritsch Gawn Chandler R: Grundy Petracca Viney Int: Rivers Sparrow Smith Brayshaw Sub: Jordon

MRP & MRO Fiasco
Yeah agreed. Not sure what the outrage is. He clearly slung him into the ground and could've let go once he knew the momentum was heading towards the ground. The Mansell one I absolutely hate, similar to Hunter. Mansell was a micro second off getting the ball and Aish should've had more awareness as well and protected himself. The MRO/Tribunal have to start every assessment by determining is this action actually a reportable offence, not just saying oh Aish's headband flew off and he was concussed so we better suspend him.

TRAINING: Monday 29th May, 2023
I'd be interested to hear if anyone hits a target under a small amount of pressure and if a forward leading to mark the ball isn't impeded by his own team?

Lachie Hunter Loses Bid To Overturn 1 Week Suspension
This is the most accurate thing I've heard about these incidents. Also bringing up the 'eyes on the ball' thing being garbage is also 100% correct. If players aren't checking where others are around them that is more reckless and has a greater chance to cause injury.

Lachie Hunter Loses Bid To Overturn 1 Week Suspension
Listening to Goody's presser it reeks of a coach who was spoken to behind closed doors by the AFL to 'tow the company line'. He made no sense at all regards to saying we are learning what is allowed. Not having a go at Goody because we all know the Peoples Republic of the AFL is hard to go against.

Lachie Hunter Loses Bid To Overturn 1 Week Suspension
The thing that is annoying now in the AFL is even if a player shows genuine care to how they attack the ball and shows their 'duty of care' they are still being suspended.
