One more for a 10 goal win!
-
How about this. 4th qtr against the reigning premiers and we are putting two of our best players on ice.
-
Thank god. I saw the AFL website saying off injured.
-
Oliver off?
-
Lucky it's the last qtr!
-
What happened to Caleb Daniel? I can't watch the game! Sucks
-
Is it half time yet?
-
Dogs will come hard in the 2nd qtr. Need to keep working hard!
-
This North team look a shadow of the one that came out against us! Haven't even given a wimper. God I hope we smash them later this season!

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

If Jake wants to leave the deal will get done. And no we won't be trading Salem! History shows players that are out of contract and want to leave get to their preferred destination more often that not. -

I was down there behind the goals as well. It was the loudest I've ever heard at a game. -

I agree he had a poor game yesterday. I remember one play where Oliver found him with a beautiful handball and instead of kicking long into the forward line he tried to go back and fluffed the kick. I think he plays better when he uses his long kicking. Should be played more half forward I think. Don't think he is cooked though. -

God I hate the ppl involved in the club at the time. Such amateurs! Still can't believe BP has moved into other jobs in the AFL. He was incompetent! -

He has been playing more ruck and forward so far this year which probably affects his overall defensive stats. -

Taylor Adams Season by Season: 2012: 18th (GWS) 2013: 18th (GWS) 2014: 11th (Collingwood) 2015: 12th (Collingwood) 2016: 12th (Collingwood) I'm really happy for Dunn that Taylor is there to tell him about what success looks like.

Which players have caught your eye KC?
-
Interesting. I read an article just this morning that said he won't get up. Will be a huge boost if he does!
-
They are playing well at the moment but they are a much more mature side than us. Plus they have had zero injury issues this year which helps. If we can scrape into the finals I hope we get them first up, I am very confident we would destroy them.

Richmond's key players are mature, which is why they are playing decent football at the moment. If they weren't they would be entering a disaster zone. Reiwoldt is 29, Rance 27, Cotchin 27, Grigg 29, Houli 29 Martin 25. Look at some of ours: Hogan 22, Oliver 19, Viney 23, Tyson 23, Hunt 22, Salem 21

It is embarrassing. BT is probably the worst of them. Sensationalises every thing that happens during the game.

Greatest / most memorable MFC goals ever

My favourite was in the elimination final v Essendon (I think 2005). Whelan absolutely flattened Hird and then the ball ended up with Travis Johnstone who slotted it from 50 on the boundary. The crowd went berzerk. -
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

I actually think it's more to do with the team defence the the individual defenders themselves. If our forwards and midfield make it hard for the other side to progress the ball down field, or at least slow it down, then it makes it hard for the tall forwards. The reason those guys have scored so much is that we often leak easy goals due to the press. This is more an issue with learning and implementing the game plan than personal. That said, if we can lure a Lever or May we should definitely do so as quality talls don't grow on trees! -

I've seen Jetta spoil the big forwards by using a well timed leap. I agree that height can be misleading. Scarlett was one of the best full backs I've ever seen and only stood 192cm tall.
