What I don't understand is why haven't the AFL done anything about these decisions. It has been going on for a few seasons and every supporter I know hates that holding the ball rule where everyone jumps on them. They need to listen to the supporters who actually keep this sport alive.

This is how I see the scenario playing out. Either we win 5-6 games on the back end of this season and finish with 9-10 wins, Chip will then have to see the opportunity for the side and will stay. Or we only win another 1-3 games for the season and he will leave, we get a first rounder for him and have picks 4 and 5 or something like that. I would like him to stay personally, but if he goes we will be well compensated.

I agree with this it is a joke and needs to be stamped out.

If Frawley stays it would be so big for us as we can then go out and look at bringing someone in as a free agent and still keep our top pick. Rosa comes to mind as a great fit for us as a classy wingman.

I noticed with Howe playing in the backline he has the ability to get an extra spring in which helps him spoil players really well. Could turn into a very dangerous half back for us he just needs to fix some of his disposal errors.

I liked the write up about Petracca where it mentioned he worked hard to lose 6 kg or something so he could run through the midfield. Always good to look at players who have to work hard at the junior levels as they often have what it takes. I really hope we end up with this guy just seems like he will be such a powerful mid, but wouldn't mind Brayshaw either

FA is something that could really work in our favour as we start to rise the ladder so I'm not too worried about it. It's going to work well at times and bad at other times

Though I don't think it would have changed the result the umpiring was deplorable. From what Vince has said the umpire had no idea that Jetta had hand balled and then to rule it as not allowed to play on is stupid if he isn't watching the game. So hopefully that ump gets sent back to the VFL. And secondly when will the AFL step in and stop these ridiculous holding the ball decisions when 5 guys lay on top of someone. It happened both against us and for us and I was one who called holding the ball because I know they will pay it. But I hate the rule it is a joke and then to see Seedsman run 20+ metres have a bounce and then get caught and spin 360 shows how wrong they have it. That should be holding the ball as he has had an eternity to decide and was caught. Don't penalize the guy at the bottom of a pack who is being laid on top of.

I don't understand why Barrett is so confused. To me it is actually black and white. If your sole purpose is to get the ball and you have incidental high contact that is fine. But if you choose the other route and bump someone then you're in trouble. How does this guy have a job seriously???
