I like the notion of moving some players around.. Salem into the midfield. Hannan back to HBF. Bring in Bedford into the forwardline. Maybe try Smith forward. We need to re-invigorate the team.. I would move out any player who doesn’t apply defensive pressure- looking at you Brayshaw and TMAC

Regardless of which way you look at it.. this is one area the AFL need to improve. I’d love to see 5 x 50s paid a game to get things moving.. the throw back to the opponent that almost a hits the roof at Marvel Stadium drives me nuts.. If an umpire has to ask you twice to return the ball.. it’s 50

Definitely a Dees supporter. His old man Tony loved the club, used to Barack for Melbourne even against the Bombers when Chris was there. Good family and good Terang Lad. Definitely didn’t play his best footy at Melbourne but we have been a retirement village for some time.

Clayton Oliver needs to do 2 things to elevate his game. 1) Wear contact and delay handballing it till the receiving player is clear 2) Stop leaning back on his kicks and kicking around corners Guy has too much talent to not have more impact.

Hannan has been good since coming back into the side.. his forward pressure and contest work was a key to us winning tonight.

I actually agree with having May forward- I’d settle him there for the year. He and Lever seem to get in each other’s way down back. One thing May does well is body block players. He would be good at blocking defenders run hence freeing up another forward. I would play Oscar and Hore or Petty when both fit. TMAC will be okay, he just needs another tall working in tandem.

This is a hard thread to read cause I also feel the same.. each time we cycle this way, I get angry, demand change but ultimately accept I am rusted on... I have felt over the last 15 months I have lost the connection to the club.. even the social media and other normal excitement doesn’t strike a cord. I’m numb to the MFC and numb to the AFL. Doubt I will follow the Dees post 2020 and the AFL much after that. My dad died of a heart attack and was an extremely passionate supporter- dont want to follow in his footsteps.
