I Hope the AFL Watched the Superbowl Halftime Show…
Wow. Genuinely gobsmacked. I assumed with the acts playing and commercials it would be a long break to fit in production.

Halftime AFLX?

I Hope the AFL Watched the Superbowl Halftime Show…
I don’t watch NFL and certainly didn’t see the show, but as a genuine question, how long does the half time show go for? Assume it is 1 hour plus. What do we expect the players to do during this time, walk up to Russell Street for dumplings to fill in time?

2026 Injury List
Bowey is a fantastic creator and link up player and had a huge year. I see he and Salem playing a similar role, but we still lack the lock down defender to play on dangerous smalls. For me Bowey struggles to play this role and is best on a less dangerous small. Hoping AMW can be this player this year.

2026 Injury List
If Viney is going to miss the best part of a year with an Achilles- I wonder if he retire? Seems a guy who is pretty honest with himself.

MATCH SIM: Friday 6th February 2026
One key feature that separates Windsor and Hunty is agility. Windsor has acceleration and ability to cut through traffic. Hunt was just straight line speed. Windsors disposal looks to improved a lot too. We need his type in the midfield rotation.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 9th January 2026
Does anyone know if there is a training session next Thursday or Friday at Goschs? Was thinking of bringing kids down on the train

Farewell Judd McVee
Faaark you Judd. I will boo you until the day you retire

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
Sorry, but if not JVR, who are the natural full forwards? Assume by “natural” you are not referring to backman turned forwards.

Still no way forward
A forwardline stacked with key forwards is a thing of the past. 1 or 2 talls and a mobile, dynamic forward mix is the future. Our forwardline looks the best it has in years.

The 2025 AFL Draft Thread
Might be worth scrapping the draft and just going back to zones, after this carp

Jason Taylor on AFL Gettable (18.11.2025)
I might have the wrong take on this, but I get the feeling that clubs assess who JT has interest in, then pounce. We have seen it this year with the 2 we are linked with, both considered later picks, now in top 10 contention. I feel like this has been the case for a while.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 10th November 2025
I’ve heard enough… we are winning the whole bloody thing next year. Bookmark it.. SPC was right!

Calling all pre-season track watchers ...
I hope the focus this preseason is on explosive pace and high speed endurance and not bulking up. I watched 10 minutes of the 2021 grand final yesterday and for reference, 10 minutes of the last round 2025 and couldn’t believe how top heavy we look now. Trac in particular looks more like the bulky size when he was drafted. Key is getting to contests and getting out into space, more than busting through packs these days.

Farewell Christian Petracca
He actually said he had spoken of his will to work with Humphreys a few days ago. Wonder if this was before the close of trade period and if he was telling him to stay at GC.
-
Farewell Christian Petracca
Heard he told a first year player he didn’t have time for it.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Superstar, club great.. but become self absorbed, ultimately offered nothing from a leadership point of view. Heard a horror story about a new player coming in and wanting to shadow him and his response. Go to GC. Cook packet pasta and enjoy IG with posts with your nonna followers

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Giants have just grabbed pick 12- are we about to see the Clarry trade drop?
-
Bailey Humphrey
Can confirm his drop punts, spin end over end… and he doesn’t have a 6ft ball drop…

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Loved him as a player, was unbelievable for us and dragged us over the line on so many occasions. However, he and Trac were not only poor leaders, but were counterproductive to our development of younger players. I am now a firm believer, strong system will beat superstar players on a disconnected team. We have a nucleus, but just need to build the system- which I’m confident that King can do. We were never going to get the best out of Clarry or Trac again, comparing them to 2021 version is not fair. They might blossom at another club, but so be it. Mark this trade period down as a positive for the clubs next 4 years. We will free up valuable $s and hopefully add some key pieces. I love this club… this club! The members, fans and anyone wearing our jumper. Players who leave to me, regardless of status are always part of the story, but ultimately ex-players.

Yes if the price is right.

Bailey Humphrey
I guess it’s how you rate Humphrey and whether you think he is an upgrade on Trac next year. I think in 2026, Humphrey could have more influence at GC as a mid forward than Trac. 2027 and beyond, BH could be anything..
