Brown Out, Pickett in. Would like to see Viney out for Howes, but not sure Jack would get dropped being captain. I feel he is probably our biggest watch over the next few weeks. Disposal poor, decision making poor. JJ is a much better 3rd midfield option and Koz back will squeeze Jack out.

I just thought Landon’s form this year has been poor and we need some additional marking between with the arcs with Max out- Howes can provide this on the wing. I love Viney, but I’m not sure he compliments our mids, I think JJ could offer something different.

I missed the first 45 minutes on Friday night as I was out for dinner. Watching back the replay, our biggest issue was letting Lions have free players off the stoppage, especially in their 50. I counted 3 goals from it. I think focus is a real issue and we cannot afford it this week. Question for anyone- has TMAC been trained as a defender over summer? Is Blake Howe worth coming in for Langdon to play HBF or HFF? Might need some marking ability around the ground. Could Viney play down back and Jordan play midfield minutes?

A lazy, safe performance last night. No risk, no reward off half back. Brisbane let our mids touch the ball and fed off our fumbles.. they were clinical, we were not sharp enough. Hope for the best on the injury front and move on.

Our midfield still pick and choose when to dig in.. been an issue for a year now.

Would be surprised if May plays so soon, Salem will need a game in the VFL to get some touch. I have from time to time overactive Thyroid, takes quite a few weeks to normalise and running even 500m can cause exhaustion with elevated heart rate. Hope he has either done radioactive iodine, or cut it out, as a long term fix.

Spot on.. big dollars mean an instant return. Kosi will be an instant return if he leaves, but won’t get Dogga dollars.

Dogs have the worst defence and on last nights form, the worst forward line in the top 10 teams. Not reading too much into form just yet.

Pies are good to watch, love the brand of footy they play. As much as Demons supporters we loath certain sides, Pies being one of them.. slick, attacking footy is good footy! If last nights game is an indication of the way footy will be played this year, then I’m keen to watch.

Do not discount Max playing back for a portion and taking out all aerial threat.

One thing that people overlook- is that Grundy coming over will likely prolong Maxy’s career. Getting another year or 2 out of Max or even an extra 4-5 games a year without injury is invaluable. All hypothetical, but with Jackson gone Max would have rucked 80% of games for the next 2 years at least while developing the young rucks. Teams target him physically because of his importance.

Much more physical than Max. Will support Max well throughout the year, which was an issue last year as Max was Bullied and beaten up..
