  1. Sounds about right
  2. Assuming with training today, we might see at least one social media clip of a debutant announcement.. hopefully two!
  3. Glad he has signed on, now I can get back to hating him!
  4. I would get him trained up for a defensive switch. We need to get Plugga Petty to take over the forwardline!!
  5. Yes they did, but still should have enough quality to account for Essendon at home you would think. Also- the game in which we beat them was at the MCG, where they haven’t won for a long time. Since before Mitch Robinson had a rats tail I believe.
  6. Can’t really disagree with Lloyd. Besides the Lions game we have been putrid for a while. On todays form, Lions are not a great benchmark. Having said that, we can turn it around quickly. I think some personal changes help. I’d bring Hunt back, Laurie and Van Rooyen to come back in. I’d also look at Rivers to return down back. Salem to move to mid/forward this week. Bedford out, Bowey out, Oliver out and perhaps Spargo.
  7. Agree that opponents are flooding our forwardline. We bring the ball from D50, slow and predictably around the boundary. If we move the ball fast, changing the angles and using the corridor- we give our forwards a chance. If we don’t change our style of play, personal wont matter.
  8. Wow, butchered the missed holding the ball call then paid fifty for dissent. Stevic had a bad last minute.
  9. Out: Safe, slow wide ball movement In: Daring, sharp, central ball movement.
  10. Play the corridor and pies cannot defend.. where did we play them.. wide and safe!
  11. If I was the club I’d ask for a decision quick, so we can move on and sign players. No footballer is irreplaceable- we just need to ensure we fill needs with the picks and players coming back our way. I do like the idea of a Cam Pederson type backup- any VFL types who we can bring across? And yes, if he leaves I will boo him for being soft. Something “special” about Perth, but I ain’t seen it!!!
  12. Van Rooyen competes well in the air.
  13. Laurie might take Spargos spot.
  14. As the Neale Daniher used to say “own the corridor, own the game”. We are safe, predictable and boring to watch.
  15. Gee we never go near the corridor. Slow boring play
  16. Not a great day to get Covid and the worlds worst headache
  17. But don’t they have this mystical ‘shinboner spirit’?
  18. SPC replied to Tracca's topic in Melbourne Demons
He needs someone to block for him to help him find space, TMAC was good at this. At the moment, he is 1 v 2 or 3. I think Brown/Gawn out has stopped him getting hands on it as he is our only dangerous key forward. Kicks to the top of the square are not his go either.
  19. It was a good warm up for the avalanche of free against next week at skinny stadium.
  20. Pickett gets a week I feel. Tribunal haven’t cared about tummy taps, till it’s a Dees player.
  21. No normally an ump basher, missed all of ours and gifted them. Missed a Ben Brown mark as well. Should be raised by the club.
  22. Great game!
  23. One thing I have been wanting to see the last few weeks was an intent to tackle to hurt opponents. All within the rules, but statement tackles. Was so pleased Thursday. Picket tackles in a way that opponents are always keen to know where he is on the ground.
  24. Salem if not 100% would be the only change. Rivers or Hunt could cover him. Loved the look of the smaller forwardline and Weid was handy as 2nd ruck. Competed well and was much more physically than BBB. Have a slight concern over Brown getting moved off the ball too easy, but we need to stick with him.
  25. Fritta still owes us a few. That first quarter non handball I never want to see a MFC player do ever again!!
