POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
How good are Brayshaws hands in marking contests when under pressure.. under-rated… Also the big problem with him as a midfielder in 2019 was his defensive running. Pushes back as hard as any now. Might see him back in the centre before the year is out..

Gee Hibbo was good on Rozee.. Who was that [censored] that was saying he needed to be dropped?? @SPC I’m talking about you!

BB made a difference
We needed a real marking forward. Someone to draw 2-3 defenders and give us a contest. Ben is that guy. Needs to stay in now for the year.

Gee I was a mile off. Thought we would lose by 6 or so goals..

Ball out the back, handball into the corridor.. how predictable.. just not to our players

Hamish, “we will take a quick adbreak, 2nd half on the other side”. 12 ads later..

Forward Structure
I think we need to try things. The last couple of weeks have worried me that we are putting faith in Jackson who is not an out and out forward. The other thing is McDonald not taking as many forward 50 marks. He looked superb up the ground on the weekend. Might be time to move Macca up to a wing, get him to be dangerous running back to goal. BB comes in, Max plays 90% forward and Dogga rucks. Not sure what is happening to Pickett, but needs some form. He is often too close to the marking forwards, needs separation to be dangerous. All can be fixed.

What To Do With Jack Viney
If we progress as a club, his best footy will see him as a fringe player. Injury or not he is limited, he makes the midfield setup worse and does not appear to work well with Clarry or Trac.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
My thoughts were over the last couple of weeks. I feel he has lost touch and a bit of pace. Might be wrong, but he concerns me a heap down back
-
Are the Demons pretenders?
No, just out of form in a lot of areas. Only 5-6 players are playing well the last few weeks consistently. Mainly down back

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
We need to find another look in the midfield. Viney has to go, but we need someone with classy skills and tackling. I’ve said Salem, but been screamed down for it.. Maybe it is Rivers. I like Bowey in to play back, would like to see Brown come in to create a focal point. Maybe even Deakyn Smith or Lockhart for Hibbo, who looks devoid of any confidence. Only area I have no concerns about is the wings.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
What today has shown me is the TMAC is a good CHF who should be pushed further up the ground. We need actual goal scorers, not makeshift pressure forwards. Having 8-10 goal scorers a game is great, but we need someone who is a threat for defenders. Either of the Browns could fill that spot.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
No Viney, Harmes and Sparrow in the same team. Harmes stays, as does Sparrow.. Todd Jnr is a spud, poor disposal, poor decision making and when he has the ball, just tried for a stoppage.. we are not a stoppage team anymore. Been saying it for ages, but time for Salem in the middle. Need Class to compliment Clarry. Hibbo out, Viney out Brown and a small defender?

If we were a side that had 25k turn up and make noise today, we very well might have got a W
They should be able to play well anywhere, anytime. Crowd noise or not. They switch off and then on the flip side individually try to do too much.. bern the same story for a number of years.

Brayshaw a real positive too.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
Been unraveling for a while.. Hollywood handballs and tackles that don’t stick! Will cost you games every time. Need 2-3 players out after that performance.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs GWS
Of all our 22.. Hibbo makes me most concerned. Very nervous, fumbles and often ball watches.. need Lockhart in

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs GWS
Gee our forward half connection has disappeared.. big warning signs for the balance of year, unless we can fix this!!

Umpires are bad today.. real bad

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
There is something about Tom Sparrow.. a big kid, who loves pressure has some time and space, but his goal kicking and skills around goal this year make me excited.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
Fritta made some critical spoils and his field kicking is an asset. He plays worse as the 2nd tall. BB will help him
