Agree lol..... In terms of him being 50/50...what more can the club do? Its in the best shape its been in terms of its list, stability etc At same stage players need to take a leap of faith & believe in the club . If our players are not motivated by what the doggies achieved, I don know what will & I question that the club has to have all the boxes ticked for them to stay....Remember its a 2 way street!

Who was the [censored] from WC saying they had constant dialogue with Jessie? Well done to the club on how this was managed & not jumping @ shadows & reacting to the noise! A far cry from how this would have been handled by the previous mob in charge!

What contributions are you expecting .. Plenty of premiership players in the media who are not involved with their former clubs.. The club engaged with him to help when it was a busket case which represents were the club was that you can't take a band aid approach ..

I've been since the 70s as a kid wondering will we ever win a flag? I'm 52 & still sad as thrs only us &. Saints supporters who haven't witnessed a flag!

Reality is not every player wants to commit to the rigors of afl footy... not saying this is the case for Hogan, but plenty of talented players who drop out as just can't commit to the demands of afl.

We need to highlight that Cameron has had about 300 top 20 picks at his disposal so would like to see him coach another team on a level playing field.....

The issue I have with the bye is that the AFL always trying to find a way to equalise the competition & trying to make the finals series more even...... FFS thats why we have a final 8 & the teams who win more games & kick a higher score finish 1st-8th! Not taking anything away from the Dogs & happy they won but I believe the bye to helped them...The AFL screwed over the Swans & Geelong with not allowing them to host home ground finals but allowed the GWS to play at home. Regardless of the result they need to start respecting higher placed teams to host home ground finals. If you want the best chance to finish top 4 win more games & kick more goals & stop compromising the competition to create an illusion of evenness & then flipping the other way!

What are the doggies paying Bevo. Vs Roos??? Bevo a flag I'm 2nd season vs 10 wins in 3rd season .. Not having a crack at Roos as I'm sure our lust was a busker case .. But at some stage players need to take the responsibility & don't expect everything to be perfect @ a club!

Very sad now that all Victorian team supporters have seen a flag since 1980 except for the Dees & the Saints & if we go on this year ladder we will be the only team left!

Doggies were not the best team all year but the best over the last 4 weeks.. Comp was fairly even with only percentage separating spots in top 4 vs Botton 4 .. Shows every team that it's possible when you have a United club & consider only 2 yrs ago they were in a mess somewhat! As Roos said the players need to want to be great pure & simple! If this doesn't inspire the players to do something special & see a deserved Jones holding up the cup!

Our players need to want to be great & see with hard work anything is possible...doggies not the best team all year but best team last 4 weeks! So happy for their supporters who like us haven't seen a flag but stuck by them! I'm a 20 yr member & faith restored that smaller clubs can achieve the ultimate!

As roosy said to his players you need to want to be great ....if our list was not inspired by Dogs flag today & look in just what they accomplished in 2 yrs ...I don't know what will! Well done for showing your commitment & belief in the club.. This must put pressure on a particular forward who hasn't extended his contract ... Rest of his teammates are committed so what's holding him up??? I think as a footy club that this is the message he needs to hear .. Either commit or let the club know so they can plan their list choices going fwd ..

So happy for a foundation club like the doggies & reward for their supporters who have stuck by them for decades with very little success & no GF appearances. They were not gifted with so many early picks & millions thrown at them like GWS! May struggle to beat the swans as the 3 finals thus far have been very taxing & 2 road trips will have an impact on them .. Just on the AFL hypocracy on allowing GWS to host a home final & denied Geelong twice a home ground final ..

Great to see a foundation club in Vic make the GF! A reward for all their loyal supporters & members who have stuck by them for so long with little success & heartbreak prelim losses.. As Dees supporters we undestand & lets hope they can do a Lecister city & go all the way & show the AfL that perhaps they need to shift focus back on the foundation clubs!

Need to question the character of Hogan if he decides to leave .. Why would u give up the relationships with your players & coaches & a list showing signs of playing finals & success for an extended period of time hopefully.. Afl may as well rap up the trade process & get young players to nominate which state they want to play in & if they are not picked up by a side in their state.. Stiff cheddar! Too many of these players want it both ways .. It's an 18 team competition & should be grateful of having the opportunity to play . In hogan case it's playing in the G in the heartland of footy! Understand if he's given his service like 7-8 yrs eg Dangerfield .. Give me a break will u! If he wasn't out club should command the trade on their terms or sorry your playing for Melb!

Agree ... As Roos said kid is 21 & playing his second year in the toughest position.. FFS expectations too high.. Many forwards have taken 4-5 seasons to become consistent good players... He's just another young player developing along with petracca, Oliver, etc etc..

Well said... Mental illness impacts the community & can only wish he can manage that & football is secondary!
