GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Carlton
What’s the game plan don’t win centre clearances or defend both ways , bomb to nominate one …. King needs to make the adjustment or we will get flogged each week

At the game we are shocking

What’s our Value Proposition to attracting marquee players, why would a Butters or Humphries choose the MFC ? A new home base is no guarantee of success but it’s critical to form a foundation and provide players to best environment.

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Good luck attracting Humphries & Butters, we couldn’t attract any marquee players after the 21 flag finishing top 4 in 22/23, who wants to drive to Casey & train on a paddock, only players seeking a super top up @ end of their careers

Rivers another premiership hero…. Let’s hope it’s just a blip for him as has been a great contributor and clubman

I Agree somewhat as we don’t know what the commercial terms are etc would be great to hear from the club on this, what’s the future with Goschs with Tennis Australia supposedly wanting access during AO, would these see us getting kicked off as its not ideal, Waverley isn’t perfect totally agree but hey hawks won 4 flags, are our training facilities impacting on our ability to attract good talent, going on past history let’s hope we’re not having the same conversation in 5 yrs time

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
No it doesn't but why are all the 17 teams have all their club under 1 roof, why did hawthorn built a new base, we are possibly last in the comp, but hey keep on doing the same and hope for a different result, good luck attract marquee players to travel to Casey

Eg only using Carlton as an example as I have had a number of work conferences and you walk in and you see all their premiership cups on display, etc etc it’s their home, I’ve been a member 30 and supporter since 72, I visited the mcg for the 21 premiership cup and had to park east Melb to walk through a park… enough said

We are the most disconnected club in the AFL, you think Roffey had a feel of what was going on in the footy dept & the playing group…you think any player or coaching staff can simply go and talk face to face from Casey or Aami park.. it’s beyond admin feeling cosy

Rather be stuck at Waverley than the disjointed arrangement with the ivory tower at the mcg which has been the reason we have never been able to find a home

Watch the club waste another decade chasing a pipe dream with so many variables at Caulfield, we will forever be a homeless club with no base impacting the ability to attract marquee free agents or out of contracts, watching Richmond complete their home base whilst we go around in circles, unbelievable dumb decision if they reject Waverley Why is moving to Waverley throwing away bargaining power, even if Caulfield was approved today, looking 3-5 years away, wouldn’t it make sense to move under 1 roof & plan what’ looks great under 1 roof eg using Waverley as test case?
-
The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
If they botch up not moving to Waverley in hope Caulfield will go ahead, it will just be another chapter and wasted decade of not being under 1 roof and the homelessness of our club, understandably we are not privy to all the commercials but ffs we just go around in circles! Good luck attracting ready made talented players as we will be losing lots of experience players in the next 12-24 mths who will be retiring, Miecheck said it takes him over 60 mins to travel to Casey

Farewell Steven May
He’s one of the reasons why our culture was fried amongst other brain fades
-
Clarity and Perspective
We played a contested brand down the line stuff which Goodwin couldn’t or wouldn’t change, coupled with selfish thickheads who destroyed the culture, the loss of experienced players is significant and expecting the younger brigade to replace them with instant success coupled with King new game plan will take time, posters having a crack after the Freo game on our 1st & 2nd year players is poor, expect bumps and no finals
-
PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Afl are not running a competition rather a ratings comp with integrity out the window, consider hawks have 2 byes before we get our first
-
POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
I know what Oliver won & also he was part of the poor culture …. My post was based on others having a crack at our young players, unfair as Oliver & trac were contested and games changed since then, plus current players couldn’t get a chance on these positions ax they were both watching 13& 5 butcher the ball inside 50
-
POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Supporter since 72, I know he’s achievements , but comparing them isn’t fair as different game style with contested brand plus the last 2 yrs Oliver & trac were in theses positions, I know 1 thing their kicking is superior, let’s be patient

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
May was forced to retire which is justified by he’s behaviours enough said, instrumental in our premiership but after that….you don’t need to be a rocket scientist with departures over the last 2 seasons.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Not a fan of Rich but not sure how he impacted on Trac
-
POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Oliver was part of the whole culture issues with poor behaviours, needed to be punted earlier along with May and others… who knows Trac may have stayed, the position we are in is because action wasn’t taken earlier!
-
POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
How many seasons did Oliver, Trac take before they started dominating ??
-
POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Posting that Langford, Lindsay not afl std, wow 2nd year players only 2nd preseason, how long did it take for our mids who departed to be guns??? , got beaten by a team who’s list is far more developed leaning vs a new coach s new game plan whilst developing
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Let’s not be harsh on 1st & 2nd year players Lindsay, Langford , l pickett
