Chandler, Laurie & Schace are not afl standard …our fwd situation issues haven’t changed since Hogan, sure won a flag with Brown & Tmac but are past it yet still on our list! Our recruiters have done a great job with gems in defenders but can’t believe premiership team not been able to attract a few agent fwd or get a trade done!

Correct both flags by tigers & Dees were difficult to win considering no home ground advantage and living in hubs away from families with babies & young kids the mental strength needed .. the references to covid cups is BS

Whilst it’s the 1st game some questions need to be asked in the 7 yrs with 8th coming up of Goodwin he’s had 10 finals with 5 wins 2 x straight sets & a Flag which most teams would take the Flag. Not sure what the hurry was in extending his contract after it was extended in 2022. Our game style after 1 game looks the same, they haven’t been able to fix our fwd issues in years and only Hogan in the last decade looked like a forward, Tmac & Brown bodies have been done since 2021 flag yet as team in the premiership window we haven’t been able to attract a power fwd & yes hard to find, instead we invested in Grundy who is now gone which was a poor blunder buy the club and who will replace Max?

I don’t think you fluke winning flags they were emphatic for the season plus their finals, correct our 2 key fwds Tmac & brown are gone and we haven’t been able to replace them, they provided great contests, vs young Jvr & schache just can’t present. The loss of Jackson has hurt who would have taken over Gawn, Not sure why they didn’t try to get hogan after his departure from Freo. Not sure why Goodwin was extended beyond 2024, yeah only first game but since the flag 4 finals loses… maybe the cliff is coming

The whole Grundy trade was a disgrace the way both Goodwin & club handled this! I just wonder did Max loose the selfless & become selfish?? His Journey & story should be plastered all over the change rooms and be a mentor to young players to show no to take their time for granted & what can be achieved coming from adversity. Injuries yes but also coaching and bringing players from Casey …in 2022 continued with same players, in 2023 watching Grundy not playing in the 2 finals was another blunder!

Worth listening to Pert @ the AGM as discussed in detail as what is needed now & in years decades to come, the issues with AAMi park and shared facilities plus access due to concerts etc, not just 1 oval and went on to say that the his team & the board explored all opportunities & Caulfield represents the best.

I believe local gvt blocked the plans for a site in the Olympic park/ Aami park precinct or the club couldn’t build what was required. State gvt has poured out hundred of millions of dollars to support other clubs redevelopment of their existing grounds eg Geelong .. understanding they have existing footprint but all driving by politics vote getting.. A club that bears the name of the city is treated like a 2nd rate citizen, Yet happy to build extend tennis stadiums etc but the MFC is given scraps
