Nothing further from the truth! Whilst I'm not a real fan of him the truth is the truth.. This is were our footy club needs to be at & yes the list has changed & lets hope the younger players coming thru will develop into the mental hardness required to be competitive & succesful.

On that looking at the competition the AfL have failed to provide an even competition with their equalisation policies... Since 05 = Hawks 4 flags & 5 gf Cats 3 flags & 4 gf Swans 2flags & 3 gf wc 1 flag 3 gf filth 1 flag saints 2 gf freo gf

Has not earned it yet... Have we learned nothing over the last decade people!

Whole thing is a joke & overreaction to a kid playing in his second yr in the toughest position! Get real people he's reaction is frustration & to be expected.. Coaches will assist him in working through it....

Part of his development & maturity .. FFS expectation on a kid in his second year playing at FF is ridiculous! People forget he actually was the reason we won the week before! Plenty of other experienced players we can blame!

GWS beat the Cats..... Its all about attitude & this is the craziness of our team that they can beat quality. & then roll over to poor sides FFS!

We lost the game after the win last week & during the week... Too much talk & back slapping a nemesis of the MFC!

Don't blame mate.... As a mfc member for 19 yrs & what we have over the last decade I still shake my head at losses like yesterday .. How players come 1/2 switched on to play like that after all the list & coaching changes is beyond me! I question our leadership group & coaching somewhat to all the backslapping & winning 2 in a row etc but it's the playing group responsibility to to turn up & play FFS ..

Very poor & poor leadership dealing with keeping feet on the ground after a win.. But seeing some posts on Hogan is poor .. Kpp in his second year still learning to play @ this level & dealing with 2 players manning up .. Expectations too high on a young player..

What can you say .. Players coaches got ahead of themselves. .Hearing coaches say great feeling @ the club etc all week .. Whats the feeling now??? FFS shut up, hope the coaches are ruthless & drop the pretenders!

I think we underestimate the quality of GWS.. Great comeback & never say die attitude hopefully beginning with similar positions in practice games.. Cant ask for anymore than that .. Sure some poor periods but remember great sides find a way to win!

Not saying Hogan will leave..... What's the point of having a draft system/salary cap as an equalisation to a so called competition, if clubs who finish near the bottom which happens when you have 18 teams only to see talented kids leave after 3 seasons.. Compensation is another early pick which is a lottery .. Football the world game allows you to profit from selling talent & then buying other players.. ..... Afl you can't have it both ways!

Afl need to find a solution were smaller clubs can play to smaller crowds & make money like Geelong do on their home ground.. That's how you get clubs controlling their own destiny financially .. current Stadium deals only benefit interstate & larger clubs ....

Honestly .. Can't believe these posts..Second year player & playing second practice game & people are questioning his marking & kicking accuracy.. It's as stupid as people saying we're looking great from 3 wins in practice games..

End of this season not that bad as stated in other posts mgr wants to maximise his value... But afl just can't sit back & have a so called equalisation comp with early picks only to see them leave to a stronger club after hes been developed! People bag the English premier league but smaller clubs can develop players & sell them which allows them to buy other players to strengthen their squads etc early draft picks don't compensate & are always risky as they may fail..

Very easy to blame Lyon for choice of coaches. It shows how bad our footy clubland when it continued to want to be saved by such a strong media person & ex champion. You can't take 1/2 measures & expected a great result you can't be 1/2 in a footy club ... Club totally @ fault!

Not great sinking the boots into a player based on injury... Calf issues are hard to get rid off & history shows they keep on re occurring.. Lets not forget he come to our club in our darkest days & attracting A graders was pie in the sky stuff... Though need to support our players!

Tried to do the right thing & invest his own $$$$ ..but another band aid approach after the failed merger were as Hawks went on to build a strong club....

He played 10yrs @ the club & deserves it ..though a frustrating player & didn't fulfill his potential its a reflection of were our club was at the time & was found out @ freo! How many employees get long service leave after 10yrs who aren't good workers?

Well done to the MFC.. Let's all be positive they will draft the right character traits required to play afl @ the level required... There are no guarantees in the draft but I think the club has the right people to make the right choices & it's clear the foundations laid by Roos & co will give a clear direction as to the types of players needed...
