I'm frustrated like all & prob posted a negative .. But after listening to Roos presser ., he's on the money & said pure & simple young kids ran out of legs after Port game... Big month won 3 in a row.. Wins against Hawks, port & almost WC, 2 road trips. Another preason for our 1st & 2nd year players will help. We should feel confident going fwd as Roos said that young team has plenty of growth together for improvement... Throw in melcshem & few more trades should see further improvements!

Richmond are losing by 105 pts & kicked 1 goal & it only in the 3rd qtr!

What a disgraceful effort by our players to send of Roos with [censored] poor effort today .. They should publicly apologise to him & members & question what have they learnt from Roos in the last 3 yrs??

Spot on! Yep the coaching told players to miss targets, miss goals, be second to the ball!

Roos has done a great job & I don't think we realise how far back we were! Stabilised the playing group & help develop a foundation of culture required to play finals! Compare our wins & percentage from when he took over to now .. He's done his job now hopefuly Goodwin & co can take it to the next level!

wow thats our back line if their kicking dosent improve....will never win a flag top teams defenders hit targets, question is though are the mids etc going to right positions?

Great to see the positive posts as usual by MFC supporters! Ugly win but a win is a win & this game dosent define our whole season! Turnovers looked poor but gotta ask yourself long season, just got back from a few road trips, young bodies etc. not making excuses but they are facts. Team just needs to bridge the gap between our great footy vs poor footy. We shouldnt discount that GC are far better than the 1st time we played them & credit needs to go to the way they played

Positive outlook & need to be ., talent is there.. Poor footy played but we forget GC are playing much better than they were last time, WC game would have impacted on them .. Not making excuses for poor footy but you can only for reasons... Comp is s lot more even than most think for middle to lower clubs on the ladder

So were expecting a 21 yo playing his second year of footy to be a match winner??? Apart from how many goals his kicked what are his other stats eg goal assists,marks,contested poss etc??

Knowing the equality of the competition they will get picked up by a top team like Haw & help them win maybe 5 flags in a row

Afl have destroyed home ground advantage for Victorian based clubs & including crap stadium deals & therefore selling home games to help with the bottom line!

Tom Turnover..... Whilst not alone his turnovers killed us against WC. Kicked to the opposition with no pressure, Great defender but undos all of his great work with terrible kicking

Agree we are all filthy & I have had enough of watching my mate a Hawks supporter who has seen 9 flags & possibly 4 in a row & 10 flags this year.. Reality is our players are not ready yet due to exp.. Positive is that they can play well & the talent is there!

Umpires influenced the result also.. Mfc players missed goals but we're not influenced by the umpires, WC got goals from disgraceful umpiring!

bottom line we lost a game we should have won! Cant question their commitment & toughness but just need to work on the polish & FFS Mcdonald whilst not alone turned over the ball twice by foot which & one cost us a goal, for an experience player & all the great defending this lets him down on many occasions! Umpiring a disgrace & crucified us!

3 reasons why we lost.... 1 Missed too many shots 2 Macdonald cant hit a target, which resulted in turnovers & goal! How this guy thinks he should get a larger contract when your kicking results in turnovers is beyond me! 3 Umpires disgraceful free kicks kept WC in the game....I counted 3 goals as a result!

List is in far better shape than ever with great talent.. Will take time & pre seasons to develop the consistency etc.. Still question the Darwin conditions & the impact on the players! The afl draw is crap playing a team twice @ their home ground! How can a team have a home ground advantage twice? Wouldn't happen in any other league around the world!

How is this a even comp?? Playing the Saints twice @ their home ground! Would be laughed @ by other leagues around the world! Can't imagine Liverpool playing twice @ Man U ground! Throwing in having to play in Darwin in high humidity energy zapping climate because clubs have to sell home games to make $$. Home ground avantage hey wtf afl address the real equalisation issues, it's a joke of a comp your running!

Absolutely but one wanders how would Watts have developed @ Hawks, Swans or Cats??

One could not argue our development prior to Roos era was pathetic! Hunt & Wagner etc are an example when you have the right culture etc you can develop players!

Numbers don't lie .. Hawks,cats,swans have won 9 out of the last eleven flags! Leicsester were facing relegation & then won the Title a year later! Afl have draft & salary cap to even the competition out & it was set up in 1986 to stop clubs going broke & stop the dominance by power clubs.. Currently it's not working!

Since the failed merger Hawks 4 flags & 5 GFs vs MFC 1 gf .. Very sad!
