The club just can't maintain a level of winning long enough to either win enough games to play finals or when we have played finals and maintain the intensity to win a flag as we have built a culture of near enough is good enough, Norm Smith said in 65 when he was sacked he told the board we are slipping.....well we have slept so far in 55 years! We have made 2 x GF in 55 yrs & lost by 90 & 60 pints then went on to fade away playing finals, the fact that Daniher was able to get us to so many finals from a portable at the Junction oval & preseasons across a number of venues using cones as goal posts is a complete & utter failure by so many boards, Ceos etc to get a home base & in 2020 we are trying at Joshs Paddock!

We hate them as they are successful & there are only 2 teams left with premiership droughts longer than 35yrs & the saints look closer at breaking it than we do!

Don't disagree with creating right environments & Lions were down the bottom....but lions are in a 2 team state as are Sydney and escaping the AFL bubble is an attraction vs 10 teams in Victoria who at the best of times only 4-6 will play finals. The fluid fixturing will be just another kick in the guts for teams not winning and its baffling as 10 teams want play finals in a 18 team comp, which will create another inequality & widen gap! Gil you are not running a tv/radio station based on ratings!

How would Freo be feeling given up pick 6....Loved Hogan but he has lots of issues which I hope he can fix & dosent fade a way, joining a 3rd club within 4 seasons is not a good recipe for success

It’s all about the Bio-chemistry & wiring eg Roger Federer 38 & still competes at the highest levels making semis in grand slams vs Kyrgios who just doesn’t have the same passion or drive .. no right or wrong

Yep hawks moved on & build a successful profitable club & have won 4 flags... what has the mfc done no home base , financial losses, blown loads of early draft picks & played in 1 Gf in 24 years!

Perts 1st year & records a 1.5mill loss.. PJ implement the pokies exit but not convinced on Pert Whats the long term plan for profitability? I can only imagine the pressure on Goody if we have the same season again! Followed the club for 50years & never a dull moment & always a financial issue. Unlike other bigger clubs eg tigers, hawks, pies when success comes their membership just goes up & sticks with them at the gate even in poor seasons. We are so fickle....

For all the great facilities Pies have won 1 flag in 20 years....Not always everything but very critical

We train @ a paddock ... whilst pies train on a purpose build ground .. I guess for all their $$ facilities it’s 1 flag in the last 20yrs so you need a lot of things to be right

Playing 24 games will actually increase revenue for all but more importantly will bring more fairer system... play each other once & if your in the 8 you play them either home or away again..so no free ride to the eight... understand that the fixture want be known until round 17 is complete but we have now is hopeless

Play each other once= 17 games Top 8 vs other to 8 sides =7 games Bottom 8 vs other bottom 8 = 7 games

Play 17 rounds so each team vs once then..... Top 8 sides vs each other Bottom 8 sides vs each other This way teams would play both home/away This will stop teams with an easier draw playing finals. Only an extra 2 games

Afl comp fixture is a joke! All based around tv ratings & fancy stating that the draw is around the teams who play exciting footy! It’s a competition based on 18 clubs & some will finish bottom 8 & others top 8! Punishing teams for finishing @ the bottom is not the way to help them or their bottom line! Saint first 8 games in Vic & dogs 7! Yep that’s a fair comp! Tigers most Friday nite games!

Afl just continue to sink the boots into our footy club... yet ensure pies, tigers, hawks all get home games.. give me a break
