Krakouer, Bowden among Tiger delistings - Footygoss

"Richmond has cut three senior-listed players and one rookie in preparation for the 2008 season.

Forward Andrew Krakouer, utility Patrick Bowden and defender Brent Hartigan have all been axed from the senior squad, while rookie-listed Tas Clingan has also been cut."

Don't know much about any of these blokes but i would be interested in looking at them for the PSD...does anyone think they would be good at MFC? atm, i think we should use our second pick to get Valenti but our first PSD should be used on a young player if that is possible.

Krakouer's life has unravelled before his eyes, Patrick Bowden is even softer than his brother and Hartigan is just a plain old dud.

No thanks. If they are no good to the tiggies, they are no good for us.

Krak would be worth a look, but his off field problems are too much of a concern.

I read on fox sports that he has been charged with assualt with mean of causing bodily harm and could be facing up to 20 years jail (the worst case sceniro, will probably get much less). Krakquer's lawyer has stated that he will be pleading 'not guilty'.

Has anyone else heard something about this?

Its amazing that a Club like Richmond cant find more to axe.

Nasher your assessment is about right on them

ita amazing you can get like 5 years for rape, 2 years for culpable driving causing death but the maximum sentence for assault causing bodily harm is around 20 years...he will be lucky to do any time knowing our justice system...

Maximum for rape is 25 years. Not sure about culpable driving.

Maximum sentences, not mandatory ones.

Totally agree with that. They've got four retirees, three delistings, two rookie promotions and two trade-ins. Come draft season they have a grand total of three vacancies on their list for the draft. Unless someone further goes, we will have the second live PSD pick.

Needless to say, they're up in arms over at PRE.

yeah i realise. i just find it interesting that there is such a large difference between what the maximum is, and what is actually handed out. culpable driving causing death would be the same as manslaughter. but if you have previous drink driving convictions, 2-5 years isnt enough for me. our sentences are too short.

anyway, way off topic lol

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
