In the PSD?

If another club wants to give away an early second round pick for him, they can have him.

agree. pick 21 is too much. pick 37 is a steal, but Adelaide will have to get over it, bc Meesan will simply nominate for the psd and we'll get him for nothing

Heard from a guy who spoke to a high profile ex-footballer that Johnstone could very well be going to Adelaide. Maybe Meesen will be involved in that deal?

Adelaide are kidding themselves. There is trying to get the best deal for your club, and then there is being totally unrealistic. They should just stamp the deal and be done with it. At least that way they can have the honour of being part of the first complete trade (hooray!).

well i'm telling you right now i want more than bloody meesen for trav..i wanna offload trav but not for a young ruckman@!!!!

Not a straight-swap. He could just be involved in the deal.

we have made 2 grandfinals in the last 44 years, and both times we were thrashed by record margins...we have a history of not getting close to a flag.

sydney have a recent history of being a dominant team in the competition (goodes double brownlow also) and have made 2 grandfinals, and 1 premiership

High profile footballer?

Just have a listen to Schwarta on SEN and you'll realise that being a footballer or an ex-footballer in the media entitles you to know nothing but claim you know something with such auhority that people believe you.

Poor old Adelaide, look like losing 2 good ruckmen for 3rd round picks or nothing.

I just find it amazing that Sydney are able to get the most out of not-so-great players. You wouldn't nominate Buchanan, Ablett, McVeigh, Matthews, etc as a premiership midfield unit, would you? But then, there it is, the proof is in the pudding.

When I say they are a mystery I mean that I can't understand why they continue to pick up fringe players. Surely if they can get so much out of the above blokes then they could get even more out of premium players.

As for Mattner, I would have him in the company of those players above. His tackling is good, but I am otherwise unconvinced.

McVeigh isn't a part of a premiership midfield.

I don't know, I think there a few around here who seem to be struck with the same entitlement ;) !!!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
