wtf! why not davey or bell?

Maybe it's like that baseball movie with the kids who busts his arm in some kind of accident, and then the muscles knit so tightly when they heal that he can pitch a ball at major league speeds.

Robbo will be easily the fastest, but will lose because his strong leg will go faster than his weak leg and he'll end up going around in a circle.

Other possibilities -

The club and Robbo have agreed to do everything they can to boost his profile and trade value.

This is the club's way of saying "Robbo, we love you, see, we do all these things for you, but could you just take the damn two years?"

And bizarre possibility three - Robbo has really looked after himself these last few weeks, has been working hugely on strengthening his legs to overcome the persistent knee problems, and has developed an explosive pace off the mark which might just give him a crack at the sprint.

Robbo's always been quick off the mark. Just need Neita standing 5 metres past the finish line facing away and Robbo will think he's a chance for a speccy - will win by 20m...

it all makes you wonder !!!! <_<

God, poor old Paul Hasleby, you'd think the Dockers could have sent over someone a little quicker.

FFS that's the second year in a row he's limped his way to the end of the year and turned up in the sprint.

Jacques:

"Did I hear someone say pick 22?"

Is robbo our fastest runner?? What about Davey, has he ever gone in the grand final sprints...what does he get for a 100?

Does anyone have the odds on Robbo doing his hammy at the 30 metre mark?

Based on our 2007 performances, I think there's a fair chance this will happen.

so how did Robbo go ????

Really it should be White in the sprint, a last ditch attempt to have our ENTIRE senior list injured at some point during the season.

As long as he's not chasing a rebounding defender he'll be ok.

My thoughts exactly.

Given his knee injuries over the past two years I would have thought his entry was as farcical as horse with equine flu in the Melbourne Cup.

he came last in his last heat i think

You mean last in his only heat. I didn't see the race but from what I hear he beat Paul Hasleby (6m) home.

If that' the case then Hasleby's trade stocks aren't looking too flash.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
