The Hysteria Begins

I know this has been done to death but new rumours of Chris Judd leaving WCE has surfaced. with trade period only 3 weeks away, it is highly topical again. it seems Judd is not that happy at WCE (and with their gangster, druggy culture who could blame him tbo) and would not rule out coming back to melbourne to play footy.

Now let's make a huuugggeee assumption. trade week has just started and Judd nominated the demons as his prefered club to play for (ala Akermanis and bulldogs). it is now up to WestCoast and demons to make a deal that is reasonable and fair to both sides...

Who would you be willing to trade for Judd?

NOTE: Judd is in the top 3 players in the afl. we have not had a player in the top 20 players in the afl for about 10 years!!! he is a genuine superstar and you have to give up quality to get quality!!!

My possible trade:

1) Johnstone and pick 4 to WCE (quality midfield replacement and top draft pick)

Judd and pick 40something to MFC

2) Pick 4, Sylvia and Davey to WCE (high pick, and 2 young quality upncomers)

Judd and pick 40ish to MFC

3) pick 4, pick 21 and Mclean to WCE (2 good draft picks and Mclean a gun youngster)

Judd and Staker to Melbourne to MFC

I know I am a one eyed demon supporter, but are these fair trades?i reckon all of mine of probably well in favour of us, but keep in mind that if Judd nominates us then WestCoast are a little bit stuck in that they have to bargain with us or risk losing him in the PSD...

oh how id love to see Judd at melbourne. finally we would have a player whos actually in the top 2 players in the league.

What would people give up for him?

I stopped reading there. You're all blinded my Brocks (and our) shithouse season. Brock McLean is still oozing with leadership qualities and under no circumstances should be traded. That's right, not even for god...

but you might note that this trade includes Judd AND Staker. Staker by himself would be worth a top 10 pick...otherall it balances out. gotta give quality to get quality.

I too would love to see judd in the red and blue but what to give WCE is a very difficult desion. Your trades are alright but we lose to much for the one player. My prefered trade would be:

Miller (Young versitile KPP do appeal to some clubs especially clubs without many forwards) and a quality midfielder such as green, bruce travis etc. (My choice would be Green now ok i know he is a hard midfielder who always tries his hardest with lots of leadership qualities but i think judd fills all these and thensome.) and a late draft pick i.e 4th pick

Miller, Green and our 4th Pick (im not sure what it is)

For Judd and one or 2 of there picks (if one then a 2nd pick if two then lower ones)

People have been worrying about Judds injuries but personally (im no doctor but heres my opinon) I think its not OP and after some rest over the pre season he will be fine for 2008

Make no mistake. The MFC should be celebrating for a week if it landed Judd. I know I would. It's not a flag, but arguably the next best thing. And could deliver one. If he wants to come back to Victoria we should leave no stone unturned in getting him. His injury (some floating bone in his groin) will be relieved by a minor operation.

Let's stop being an also ran. An irrelevent club. A minor consideration. Nice.

If he's available, get him.

What would I pay ? Pick 4, Bruce, Frawley (West Coast were very interested last draft).

I agree Hannabal

LETS BE BOLD

LETS SHOW SOME INITIATIVE FOR ONCE

Lets put pull all stops to get C.Judd to Melbourne

He will have groin surgery in the next fortnight, and he will be as good as gold

Who wouldnt want a fully fit JUDD running around for the MFC? He will be the best player to ever pull on the Red and Blue, and we will be able to watch him and cheer for hiom every week!!

MY TRADE

Demons send Cameron Bruce, Chris Johnson, pick 4 and pick 21 to the Eagles

for Chris Judd and pick 15

Mad to get Judd at any price and if you think he alone will win a GF think again, do you think a mill a year as reported will solve the problem then you are barking up the wrong tree, not worth it.

I am pretty sure that no player is worth a million a year........

This is because while he would make us better, the flip side is the cost problems it could cause with the rest of the list.

One man can help win us a Premiership, but he certainly can't do it alone, and for that price he may well have to <_< !!!

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
