wELL I CAN SEE FROM THESE REPLIES WHY YOUR NOT RECRUITERS.

sAYING TO PROMOTE JACE BODE IS SCARY, AS A SANDY MEMBER NOT A MELBOURNE MEMBER AFTER TWO YEARS ON THE ROOKIE LIST HE WILL MISS OUT ON SELECTION IN SANDY'S BEST 22. hE HAS HAD SOME GOOD WEEKS BUT STILL ISN'T A CERTAINTY WEEK TO WEEK. IF YOU ARE LOOKING LONG TERM YOU WOULD SELECT HUGHES AHEAD OF BODE. HE HAS MISSED THE PAST 8 WEEKS AND I THINK WAS DUE TO RETURN LAST WEEK OR THIS WEEK. AND WHEN IS FULLY FIT WILL RETURN TO THE ONES. jACE BODE REMINDS ME OF A HEADLESS CHOOK RUNNING AROUND! NEAVES AND HUGHES SHOW TO ME WHAT THE ROOKIE LIST IS ABOUT, PLAYERS WHO JUST MISSED OUT ON GETTING DRAFTED BUT WHO A CONTINUELY IMPROVING, I THINK BOTH PLAYERS WILL BE PICKED UP BY OTHER CLUBS.

Wheatley has been a very valuable player this season - long accurate kicking, run, marking, kick-ins. WTH delist him?

Miller AND Bizzell AND Ferguson - need at least one of them, my choice Bizzell to direct the defence if Rivers remains an injury worry. Need some experience, even if he is not a star.

You also mention Bode - have you ever had a look at him, especially over the last few weeks. A tough hard balanced HBF / BP. reads the play well. WILL be a good player NB if Whelan doesn't get back to his best.

I agree, keep Bizzel.

I know he is getting older but he has been really good this year. He is talented, puts his body on the line, plays hard every week for his position and tries his heart out for this club.

For god sake drop Godfrey please, trades are more imprtant than de-listing for us, we need to trade some at least one key guy for something new.

I think the mfc have played their cards already. Dropping Bizzell when he hasn't done much wrong.

Curtis is right. To promote Bode is a waste of a spot. Hughes is skinny skinny but has good hands n kick. I personally will pass.

Neaves a goer as he does have some talent. Will that talent develop in the next few years to be top class, who knows?

Jamar's the classic case of talent not developing. Really thought he was gold earlier in his career when he dominated in Sandy.

Most people are saying to get rid of these four players. I would like to stand here and stick up for them.

Ryan Ferguson - Along with Rivers, one of the most exciting back line prospects Melbourne has had for a decade. Ferguson was awesome in 2004-2005 before suffering a string of injuries both last year and most of this year. He's back in the team and I expect him to be a great player next year. You can't say delist someone who hasn't played for two years due to injuries. He's a young player and still has plenty to give. When he last played for Melbourne he was 19, give him a break.

Your comments on the other three have some varying degrees of merit but this is just fantasyland stuff. Exciting prospect ! Awesome ! Ferg has at no stage been awesome. In fact in all the time he's been here there are only two games that have caused me to wonder whether he had a future. His first appearance in a pre-season cup game when he did an excellent negating job on Richo and the Broadbridge game against Essendon when the footy just kept on finding him. Ferg is courageous but his skills are moderate, his strength in contests inadequate and he loses his feet far too often. He is an excellent footballer at his level and that level is not the AFL.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
