NON-MFC: Round 7

I actually give essendon a chance if they play like they have the past few weeks. They've been kicking big scores

dingley vs gc17 in tasmania and bears vs crom at the gabba should be interesting to watch, and could have serious ramifications for each side's top 4 ambitions

JUH debut

Shades of Clayton Oliver?

As always, a 🤷‍♂️ from me.

But, off topic, who's in charge of those graphics? One of the other kids evidently stole some of their Derwents.

Hawks and Suns looks like the game but I reckon Giants and Roos could be one to watch.

I think Dogs are a big chance tonight despite their injury woes.

Was just messaging my mate who’s a Swans supporter, for some reason I think the Dogs will win tonight.

Madness I know.

I like how they are now opening the roof at Docklands for some games. Is this just a regular Thursday night game or is it an Anzac Eve Eve blockbuster?

How many players come thru the swans academy, so they get to develop players to their style well before they are drafted… gotta help supporting a struggling club who have played in 7 GFs & won 2 flags since 2000

Some random thoughts on the Swans season so far, noting Goulden has been the massive out for them.

Rd O Carlton : enough said

Rd 1 Lions : minus Andrews, McCluggage, Logan Morris, Bailey

Rd 2 : Hawks loss

Rd 3 Bye

Rd 4 Eagles

Rd 5 Suns : minus Trac, Humphreys

Rd 6 GWS : minus Hogan, Cadman, Daniels, Cognilio

They are playing great footy but how many times have they really been tested so far this year. Tonight they get the Dogs without Darcy, Libba, Lobb & English.

Hope Naughton is as ok as he can be.

That was horrific.

Awful to see

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. The Demons return to the spotlight for one of our most significant nights on the football calendar, taking on the Tigers in a clash that always carries extra weight given the gravity of occasion of the commemoration of the ANZAC Spirit. Under the lights, in front of a packed house, this is where moments are made. Can the Dees rise to the occasion and deliver on the big stage, or will Richmond spoil the night? All the build-up, discussion, and in-game reactions here. Go Dees.

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

Before Sunday, the last time the Brisbane Lions had walked onto the turf of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, they celebrated the pinnacle of the sport - an AFL premiership secured in emphatic fashion for the second consecutive year.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
