New jumper sponsors?

Who cares what the AFL thinks, they’re not exactly a shining beacon of moral ethics.

I’d be sooner trying to sign the NRL and having their logo emblazoned on the back of our guernsey just to spite HQ.

From what I could find on ‘Drivers Depot’:

Drivers Depot is an Australian company (THE DRIVERS DEPOT PTY LTD, ABN 85 679 929 278) based in Victoria that offers services targeted at commercial truck drivers, owner-operators, and related businesses. It provides fuel cards with discounts at over 15,000 locations (claiming coverage of 90% of fuel sites nationwide), financing options (through “Drivers Depot Money” with quick approvals), access to a network of suppliers for vehicle repairs and maintenance, a marketplace for buying/selling parts, tools for tracking hours/expenses/reports, and training resources on industry rules and skills. Users can apply for a fuel card online, use it for fuel/maintenance/repairs with no card fees for financing customers, and benefit from nationwide support to reduce costs and paperwork.

The company was registered in August 2024 and appears relatively new, with limited public footprint. No customer reviews (positive or negative) were found across major sites like Trustpilot, Reddit threads, or review aggregators. One Reddit comment in a discussion about sports sponsorships called the website a potential scam, citing AI-generated images and poor formatting as reasons for suspicion.  However, no confirmed scam reports, complaints, or regulatory actions were identified in searches. It has a valid ABN, a contact phone number (0466 516 952), and promotes itself via social media like Facebook.

Ring the number to find out more info.

Thanks for that research ET I guess AFL is a good way to get Brand Recognition, maybe we are on a percentage of their sales, not sure how it works with a Start Up company. Does it have to have AFL approval?

i would imagine so

the afl have to sign off on everything

As long as neither brand is gang affiliated, I will take it. Agreed it does look horrid but this won't be a pretty season.

Take the cash and run, we'll look prettier in 2-3 years when we're a competitive team.

All those complaining.... either ante up.... or stfu

Penrite is a worthy Australian Company with a proud world beating history.

Bloody hell... this is hardly a problem.

Losing games is

Damm well said.

They do look ugly, but the look of it doesn't affect the football ability.

Lets just Fooball already!!

Great to see they have officially announced Penrite as a Major sponsor with a two year deal and the fact they were founded in 2026, a MFC Premiership year.

Take it we can Texta in 26 for a flag eh 😉

Go Dees

Quote from Paul Guerra from September last year, announcing that Hertz would be stepping down as a Co-Principal partner.

This does create an opportunity for a new Co-Principal Partner to feature on our men’s guernsey and excitingly, we are already in conversations with a number of prospective partners. We look forward to sharing more news with you in due course.

According to the MFC website, DriversDepot is our new Co-Principal partner. This has not been officially announced yet despite Penrite Oil being announced as our new Major Partner today.

Penrite is a great Australian brand but I find it odd that they would announce a new Major Partner before a Co Principal partner, who would be contributing more money to have that spot (it may be coming soon).

As many have mentioned, DriversDepot's website does look a bit AI and lacks information. Fair play to them if they are matching the big bucks that I imagine Zurich are paying but something about them has me hoping they paid upfront. Looking forward to hearing a little more about them soon.

Glad we got out of pokies and transitioned to oil.

see what the oil companies did for us QBD - back in the 60s, a loooong time ago when the Deees were hot-then-cold, oil companies team up with Ford and General Motors to take out trams from most Australian capital and reigional cities (not Melbourne though as we were too smart like our footy team in the early 60s).

Now oil is supporting Deemons.

I'm with you QBD that we need to go to one of those ethical type of corporations.

Hmmm ... now let me see ... I am going to do an search for ethical corporations and see what I find!

Drivers Depot officially now our Co-Principle partner alongside Zurich.

A slot which requires much more $$ than Penrite front top and back top spots.

Will be interesting to know more about Drivers Depot and who is funding it.
