Oh I'm well aware of that, and they are owned by billionaires, I just hate seeing [censored] all over our Jumpers, shorts etc

The billionaires just buy and sell the clubs. The operating money comes from the media rights and TV advertising. Cities that host clubs are even forced to build, upgrade and pay for stadiums or else clubs leave for better offers. The billionaires don’t have to spend any more of their money. Unlike the AFL the NFL benefits from a perpetual gravy train and owners are modern versions of ancient warlords with their own private armies living off plunder. I believe only Green Bay Packers is owned by the Green Bay community.

Couldn't agree more, and it's not just footy.

The big red "W" (Westpac) on the front of the Australian Test team's shirts looks absolutely dreadful.

It involves allegations that MA is operating a shadow security guard workforce of several thousand migrant employees across Australia who, while wearing MA uniforms, are employed by front companies that in turn utilise corrupt payroll firms to underpay workers, denying them superannuation or other entitlements, while avoiding tax obligations.

When the Tax Office seeks to recover what it is owed, these subcontractors and payroll firms collapse and their directors disappear overseas or refuse to assist investigators, according to liquidators’ reports and company sources.

Oh well at least we're not alone in using them but taking them as a sponsor.......such timing !!

It looks terrible but also would be a problem for the batting team surely.

I'm surprised there hasn't been complaints.

They are so pedantic about where the site screen is yet don't seem to mind a red ball coming out of a red logo on the front of the bowlers shirt...

I’m glad we didn’t get a gambling agency as a sponsor because I am going to bankrupt them all when Letrelle wins this rising star and Langford gets the most Melbourne Brownlow votes

Is it the connections with bikies or with Albo that we’re objecting to?

I'm not sure you understand the modern Labor Party. Their backers are the super funds, the executive arm of the ACTU and the rest of the corporate sector. They are a corporatist party that are aligned with big business.

Most of the weakened union movement has realigned with the Greens.
