Farewell Christian Petracca

Seeing some of Trac's highlights pop up on socials, it's obviously how much he has lost his real burst of speed from packs and long straight(-ish) kicking. He used to smash it 60m

While I agree with the rest of your post, this trite old phrase should be put on the banned forever pile!

Uncalled for, perhaps rude.

With that delivery I can’t help but wonder if Trac’s a South Park fan?

Good luck to him.

We've done very well out of this deal and have a big chance to set up a hopefully very successful next decade.

God the AFL article about Trac including a line about how "he's so looking forward to learning off young guns like Bailey Humphrey"...jeez give us a break you [censored] what a plant from the GC media team.

Hearing both Trac & Curnow in their pressers like they found the holy land with their new clubs reinforces the selfishness in these players, wanting to help Jamara yet was upset about the culture & our club

Also made the comment that he has been in contact with BH recently and u could only imagine what he would have been saying about our club.

Also how the media pundits magically think this move means the Trac of yesteryear will magically re-appear and how the fact he cannot hit a target inside 50 has been fixed.

Best way

So he’s saying he couldn’t go to another level & the Demons??? Honestly it’s verbal BS, can’t wait to hear what the supporters will have to say when they play us at the G

As you should be! You’re most welcome.

It was a joke…but just out of interest, in what way was it rude? It was not directed at the poster, but at that phrase which is so often used and so inappropriate, in describing a footballer.

Yeh how’s that!

Imagine saying you had more along and just cbf.

As I said, rude as in discriminatory.

Perhaps showing my age, as in old times inference went on unnoticed for decades.

I understand.

Now that you have joined an AFL foundation club, with a long celebrated history and will be able to play at the world famous home of football, the MCG, for about 15 games each season, in front of good crowds and huge ones when playing other foundation clubs, I can understand why you will be able to take your game to a new level, while you weren’t able to do that at your former club.

Well, you actually didn’t mention anything about ‘discriminatory’, and as the Oxford describes that term as

making or showing an unjust or prejudicial distinction between different categories of people, especially on the grounds of ethnicity, sex, age, or disability.”,

I’m a little unsure of the point you are making.

I doubt that you’re much older than myself so can you explain what your last sentence means. I certainly wasn’t inferring anything at all…merely commenting that the expression is ‘trite’ (if that’s what you were getting at).

"Rude" in my day used to cover all sorts of innuendo. "Trite" was a cop out.

I did say perhaps. What do you think? Baloney?

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
