Got a small update on Clarry today.....

Was told that GWS is struggling to come up with the cash for Clarry's contract within their salary cap. This is all I was told.

We can all make assumptions for what his means for the trade negotiations.

    No indication they will pul out of the trade.

    Probably just the reason why the trade hasn't happened yet and pick/contract are tied together.

    They didn’t speak to us about trade cost

    They may increase the trade currency if we increase our contribution of his contract.

    Might be an opportunity for us to snag P12 if we throw in some more cashola.

    Not sure who else we'll be paying if we don't get BH, Trac going and what, 50% of Clarries contract gone.

    I wouldn't be against 'buying' our way up the draft if there is something there we like.

    I don't believe this. Unless you're St.Kilda you wouldn't pursue someone and then realise you don't have the capspace to fit them in.

    What is likely happening is they have the money for a contract with us paying $700k/year but are also offering peanuts in a return with the pick.

    We are likely saying pay more of contract if you want to offer very little by way of a pick

    Hard to believe GWS don't have the cap space to take Oliver's non mfc salary.

    They would have roughly known the amount before wooing him on the boat.

    It is probably just a ploy to get mfc to take on more of his salary!

    So GWS have tabled their future 3rd rounder, with us paying 'a sizeable' portion of hos contract. Slightly insulting but what can you expect having forced him out i suppose.
